This year's Computational Systems Bioinformatics conference (CSB2006), sponsored by the Life Sciences Society, will launch a new program: Demos for exhibiting cutting edge technologies under development in industry and in academic labs. Up to five demos each day will take place concurrently during the conference afternoon breaks, each in a separate room but all in the same area. This setting will optimally expose the demos to all conference attendees while they are enjoying a coffee break.
We are now calling for abstracts for demos. Industry and academic labs are welcome to submit abstracts describing their technology and how they will demonstrate it. Technology or tools, not limited to software, that is relevant to life sciences will be considered. Higher priority will be given to novel and/or high-impact technologies due to space limitations.

Benefits of Demos:
One hour session in private room for each demo
Demo title and vendor is listed in the conference schedule
100-word summary for each demo is included in the proceedings
Demo Format:
Each demo has one hour time in a small class room with
internet
connection and big computer screen or projector. Presenters should
bring their own computers as needed. Demos are scheduled between 2.30 -
4 PM during the conference afternoon break.
Demo fees:
Industry Demo: $1000
Academic Demo: $200
