I use qmail's sendmail replacement:
sendmail-path=/var/qmail/bin/sendmail -oem -t -oi
no QMAIL* variables set.
pine 4.10 allows me to set any/all of the headers I'd wish to (including
allowing me to edit the From: and automatically switching between roles.
