All -

One of my users made some poor choices in friends and now has an obnoxious individual sending mail which could be considered harassing. Said individual seems to have a very high regard for himself, so approaching his ISP about enforcing their AUP is more likely to make things worse than better.

Normally, I don't like to block on sender, since it is so trivially easy to forge the FROM line. So, what I did was modify the standard check_badmailfrom plugin so that it checks both FROM and TO, and if they both match, deny the TO (as if my user's e-mail address were no longer valid). This still has the drawback that if Mr. Big Ego changes his e-mail address, suddenly the messages go through. But I thought this was a good tarbaby approach because to him, it will not immediately seem like _he_ is being blocked.

Any thoughts or other suggestions? His ISP is RCN.NET (which at least used to have an abuse team which knew how to put the boot in), so if my user decides to pursue that, I could possibly nuke this psycho's website as well as his e-mail address, but as I said, this is probably not the best course of action for dealing with unhinged individuals.

TIA

John
