Yes, I saw it on the Ubuntu machine of my girl friend (I changed her Debian Woody/Sarge some weeks ago to Warty), when I used synaptic for the first time; didn't know, that there was so many CRAN packages for Debian! Up to now I always installed packages from within R by install.packages("foo"). Has one of these methods advantages compared with the other?
