That (vect2neigh) worked beautifully.
Thanks a lot!

PD: Lengths seem to be divided by 1000... curious...

Hi people,

I have a shapefile of polygons (buildings), and I would like to
calculate, for each one, the length of the shared border with some
other building.
Or, conversely, how much of its border is 'exterior'.
I can't figure out how to extract that info.

Without a topological GIS you cannot. Try vect2neigh() in spgrass6
using GRASS to do this. It can, I believe, also be done using vector
coverages in ArcGIS.

Hope this helps,

Roger

Any idea?

Thanks.
