Dear Benedikt, Many thanks for your nice example!! I am wondering whether it could be possible to modify your code to allow the user to upload a file with the data to be used. For example, a 3-column CSV file with x, y and variable value. I am not a shiny user so I am not sure whether this is possible at all. I'd like to try a similar approach for disease mapping where the user can upload disease data plus boundaries and then try some spatial smoothing models.
