As use of sf and stars classes increases, the rgrass7 interface package between R and GRASS has been changed to drop the assumption that sp (and rgdal) will be loaded and attached. Users should now declare explicitly with the new functions use_sp() and use_sf() which representation is preferred for objects being moved between R and GRASS. At present, use_sf() only supports vector objects.

The package is now on https://github.com/rsbivand/rgrass7 with documentation on https://rsbivand.github.io/rgrass7/.

Please raise issues on https://github.com/rsbivand/rgrass7/issues, here, or on grass-st...@lists.osgeo.org.
