G'day David,
You've probably solved it by now but cut this code out and paste it into
a startup file that gets called if the database is unable to be connected to.
My routine asks if the user wants to restore a backup or try to reset the
attributes and resync (obviously with the appropriate cautionary notes).
DISCONNECT
CLEAR VAR vDBName
DIA 'Enter database name:' vDBName=8 vEndKey 1
IF vDBName IS NULL OR vEndKey = '[Esc]' THEN
RETURN
ENDIF
-- Inserted above for you - BizMan startup file sets vDBName to BizMan
-- You could do the same so the user does not have to type in the
-- datbase name
SET VAR vDB TEXT = (.vDBName + '.rb*')
SET VAR vComSpec = (ENVVAL('COMSPEC'))
ZIP &vComSpec /C attrib -r &vDB
ZIP RBSYNC &vDBName
CONNECT &vDBName
SET VAR vConnectError = .SQLCODE
IF vConnectError = -7 THEN
SET VAR vQuit TEXT = 'Y'
ENDIF
RETURN
