I'm pleased to inform you that the upcoming in-line patch-1 
for The Glorious R:BASE 2000 (ver 6.5++) for Windows, build: 
1.843xRT03, to be released shortly, includes the fix for 
that boo-boo. 

Both GETVAL functions, i.e, (GETVAL('PlayAndWait','filepath')) 
and (GETVAL('PlayAndExit','filepath')) will play accordingly!
