Stan,

What happens if your saved the file as dBase III and then 
use the ATTACH dbffilename?

You may want to DETACH that table first <g>. 

You may also want to save that file as CSV and then use 
the latest LOAD AS CSV option using TGRB2000 (ver 6.5++)!
