I did have MPlayer up and working on my RH 8.0 box. There was a new version released, mplayer-0.90-fr2.ppc.rpm. I apt-get this one, but when trying to watch a video, it would not work. I think apt-get is ok, it is something to do with hardware.
I've uninstalled it and I've tried to install from source and I used ./configure --enable-gui It did not work and I'm not sure what I am looking for in the configure.log file to help me out here.
