I knew a guy that was convinced that when he wasn't making the
repeater, he could make his mobile rig put out more power by squezing
the PTT key harder. That worked ok in his mind until he snaped the
PTT switch off the mic's printed circuit board and nearly destroyed
the plastic housing.
Anyway, he is in prison now for something completely different...
