I do believe that all the adjustments are done via a
service menu and/or program. I never could obtain a
service manual or any other info about performing some
adjustments, and the deviation was low on my radio. I
sold it, still in the box, after owning it for a year.

Probably nothing in the radio that could be adjusted
to help your user's problem anyway. Suggest he get his
ears cleaned out or reduce his age by 40 years so his
hearing is restored to normal!
