We're trying to get a new audio streaming system for our church using Rivendell. I have the main stuff working: Playlist and Panel playing back through Jack, darkice feeding from Jack to our server, etc.
What I am having problems with is getting a live feed working as well.I setup the switch and macro (I think properly) as mentioned in the wiki, but nothing seems to happen when I run the macro (no sound out from the live line-in feed).
Here's the basic setup: Card 0: Sound Blaster Live Card 1: Integrated Intel Card Card 2: Jack
Jack is controlling Card 1 and the rivendell outputs are linked to the darkice and system intputs in Jack - this is working fine.
I tried the information from the wiki at http://rivendell.tryphon.org/wiki/How_do_I_make_Rivendell_play_Audio_from_the_%22Line_In%22_of_the_Sound_Card_on_the_air%3F to try to get line-in audio working. I created the 2 macros in rdlibrary as shown. I created a switcher using Card 0 with 1 input and 1 output as mentioned. Alsamixer has the line in set as the record source with record volume up.I did just notice in looking at the page again that it mentions launching the macro carts from rdcatch, so I wonder if that is part of what I am missing?
If that is the case, how do I go about doing that?Obviously I want the audio from the line in to feed out to the normal output channels so it will go to Jack to be fed to the local speakers and to darkice.
