I just added three photos of Mt. Zion, IA on my under construction
SHABBONA RR. The Passing Track runs around behind the depot
foundation, while the Old Pass diverges left from the main line. The
near switch on the Old Pass is the entrance to the Keosauqua branch,
while in the background is the Stock Track.
The near switch on the Passing track is for the House Track, while the
other one will be the Elevator Track.
The sections of Miller tie strip between the Main and the Old Pass at
the depot is how I set my double track standard (15ft. between track
centers) and between the Main Line and the depot locates the depot
(the front of the bay window is 15 ft. from the Main Line Track center.
The Main Line is now complete from Terminal District to Mooar Yard
Next will be Bonaparte, IA.
