gcc died with an "internal compiler error". The gcc you used is known
good, i.e I have used it hundred of times to build ATLAS. What is
likely to happen is that your CPU overheats. What hardware (laptop,
desktop, ...) are you using? Do you have access to the temperature
sensors via OS or BIOS?
