Outch.
I was searching the word "optional" in
http://modular.math.washington.edu/sage/doc/prog/node46.html
but found that "optional" was not a good key word, and my question is
partially answered at the bottom of that page.
So, it is explained how to test whether a package is installed. But
still my question remains: Should the dependencies be auto-installed
(How, if yes?), or should the user be informed that he should please
do it him/herself?
