It was based on statements that have turned out to be false upon
further investigation by us.  I'm fine with changing the README.txt.

Perhaps the proper place for an extended discussion of the issues with
Solaris, i.e., a README-Solaris, would be on a wiki page or state
webpage that you maintain?  What do you think?
