That's too old of a version of Sage. You will need to do a fresh install.

Ideally, it would be good if the 'upgrade' option has some sort of mechanism for
determining when an upgrade will break. It can't be 100%, but perhaps if Sage is
more than 4 months old, or something like that, then it refuses to attempt an
upgreade. Or base it on version number. It would avoid attempts which are highly
likly to result in a failure.
