So port forwarding in windows does not work if the host system does not have a network connection? That really complicates things. That would leave the aproach of shipping a full system with sage+X server+browser included as a better option. the problem i would see two problems with that: 1) The notework files are "isolated" inside the VM. If there is no web access from the host, it can be difficult to, for example, download a .sws from the web and import it to the local copy of sage. Or vice- versa: export a local worksheet to a file that can be sent to somebody else. Maybe this issue could be somehow circumvented by sharing folders between host and guest, but then again, maybe this would need a working network in the host. It would also need to have the guest additions installed. This guest aditions are distributed under a propietary license, but luckyly it includes an express permision for distributing VM's with them installed. 2) The mouse integration issue. It seems that the guest aditions would also solve this problem. So i guess the "full batteries included" aproach is more convenient here. -- To post to this group, send an email to sage-devel@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to sage-devel+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel URL: http://www.sagemath.org
