Thank you very much, and sorry for the duplicate report. I have fixed the problem now by applying the attached patch to sane-backends 1.0.14. The patch is derived from the CVS (via the cvsweb interface). I have uploaded the fixed sane-backends package as 1.0.14-3mdk to the Mandrakelinux Cooker now.
