*Title: System Engineer III* *Location: Chevy Chase, MD* *Visa: GC and USC* *Job Description:* · Partner with operations teams to fully understand each monitoring environment, the associated infrastructure, and the specific role it plays within the organization’s monitoring portfolio · Design monitoring solutions for recurring and/or ongoing production incidents affecting our end users or supporting systems · Lead efforts to upgrade/consolidate monitoring toolsets and remediate any gaps in the monitoring tools Work with customers and other stakeholders to develop correlation reports and dashboards · Collaborate with internal teams to insure data relationships are correctly identified and the appropriate owners are identified · Create and maintain documentation specific to monitoring tools, on-boarding procedures, and data mapping/relationships · Must be detail-oriented, proactive, responsible and demonstrate an ability for getting the job done · Keeping abreast of latest trends and developments *Additional Skills: Required Skills/ years of experience needed:* · Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in solutions engineering and design experience · Experience in deploying and operating Linux, UNIX and/or Windows at the SA level with a strong bias towards automated deployment and operations experiences · Understanding of Distributed Systems and the supporting technologies including Network, Storage and Middleware systems · understanding of Relational databases, Web development, XML · Strong written, presentation and oral communication capabilities, ability to influence and successfully interface with leadership · Knowledge of monitoring & management tools, performance modeling tools, capacity analysis tools, and other advanced modeling and trending tools · Experience in designing, building, implementing, and supporting monitoring tool solutions · Ability to manage multiple demands with a sense of urgency and lead change successfully · Ability to establish, maintain and execute complex processes or projects across multiple functional groups *Desired Skills:* · Skills or experience using analytics modeling tools · Knowledge in various monitoring APM tools (DynaTrace, AppDynamics, AppInsights), System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), BMC Patrol, BMC BPPM, CA Performance Center (formerly NetQoS), CA Spectrum · Proficiency in .Net, Python, PERL, Shell Scripting and macros · Demonstrated experience in with Agile methology Regards, *Tony Smith Sr. Technical Recruiter.* *AffluentTEK, LLC.* *PROFESSIONAL IT SOLUTION* 43676 Trade Center PL Ste 235 Dulles, VA 20166-2124.
