Hi, I did something similar since I needed to have a Supplier with each product unfortunetly they did not like the allready existing brand. I subclassed Product and added my custom fields it was suprisingly easy. After that I just created a templatetag to display all Supplier the same way as Category gets displayed.
Don't forget to checkout Brand!
