(313) Music Mavericks - check this out
http://musicmavericks.publicradio.org/ Minnesota Public Radio has been running a series called American Mavericks the last show featured artists such as Morton Subotnick (with interview), Harry Partch, Steve Reich, etc. >Suzanne Vega hosts this 13-part Minnesota Public Radio series that brings >you the sounds and personalities of musical innovation in America during >the 20th century. Interviews with music-makers and discussion with >San Francisco Symphony Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas are >highlights of the programs. This is a really cool program/website where you can explore the instruments, the music, etc. you can listen to the program, listen to tracks, and make sure you try the interactive instruments - you control video of Harry Partch playing some of his inventions absolutely brilliant stuff! ive got my first live mix on the internet you can listen to it at http://www.enation.org then click on LIVE, then click on ARCHIVES it will be down in the bottom in one of those scroll boxes listed under "GRASSROOTS" it is a 4 hour recording but my mix is only the first hour or so the first track is not mine, that is the dj before me - i mix into it you will hear some screechy metallic string sounds on the second track - that is me yes this website is one of those typical "raver" type of things, but that is Florida for you it has been very difficult for me to have any kind of success as a dj the way the scene is down here and i would appreciate any listeners and comments thanks ---The Sapphrite YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! (313) Figment 4 - Chorusline EP, check this out!!!
Chorusline EP Side 1 - Dan March - Ibneon Side 2 - Tommy Gillard - Rogue Beat - Max Duley - Dementia Side 3 - A Mclauchlan - Love Story Side 4 - Rob Alcock - Plexus - Oliver Ho - The Serpent FIG 004 More of LP than an EP. This has got to go down as possibly one of the best collective compilations this year in fact since the Sonic Mind ' Collective Consciousness' (SM 010). I think their all British producers, but with the majority of their record collection from Detroit! Ah man, the tracks are great! a couple of minimal groovers, but the rest are wicked! My fav. has to be A MClauchlan's Love Story. The whole compliation gives of that very distinct Theory/Bluprint/D.Tension/Mills feel! If these guy's are who they say they are, then watch out for some top realeases from the above names! WorkZ out __ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
