[ITCENTER] Satpam di pintu gerbang jaringan
Dear milisers, Jaringan di kantor saya menggunakan VSAT untuk terkoneksi dengan jaringan Intranet. Untuk mengamankan komputer dari virus ditiap-tiap PC dalam jaringan lokal (LAN) sudah diinstall anti virus. Namun karena banyaknya jumlah komputer yang ada dan kurangnya kesadaran user banyak antivirus yang sudah out of date. Saya berpikir akan lebih mudah jika saya menempatkan satpam (antivirus & firewall) di pintu gerbang jaringan (router), sehingga virus dari luar jaringan LAN dapat dicegah untuk masuk. Bagaimana caranya agar saya dapat menempatkan satpam di pintu gerbang jaringan tersebut? Pintu gerbang menggunakan seperangkat V-SAT dengan Cisco 2500series sebagai router. Mohon pencerahan dari rekan-rekan IT. Selain itu, saya mencoba menggunakan Symantec Anti Virus Corporate Edition sebagai anti virus di jaringan lokal. Tetapi saya kesulitan untuk melakukan pengaturan (manage) server-client nya. Bagi rekan-rekan yang sudah berpengalaman mohon step by stepnya via japri aja agar tidak mengganggu yang lain. Kalau dari acess buka dulu tabelnya trus klik file eksport, pilih file tipenya text. atau kalau cuma beberapa data yang mainkan querrynya dulubaru eksport. [ITCENTER] DVD-R DVD+R
Hello, Saya sedang cari-cari informasi mengenai kompatibilitas DVD-R dan DVD+R dengan DVD-ROM drive biasa. Di DVDhelp saya ketemunya mengenai kompatibilitasnya dengan DVD Video player. Sebenarnya kalau untuk data, bagaimana apakah kedua format ini bisa dibaca dimana-mana? Kebetulan dilingkungan saya tidak ada yang pakai DVD+R, setiap kali terima data DVD-R terus. Apa sih bedanya antara dua format ini? Kalau cari informasinya dimana ya? Di googling, banyakan ketemunya enggak jelas, cuma DVD+R katanya lebih modern tapi belum ketemu penjelasannya. Kalau Cuma modal klik klik sih emang gampang. Yang susah dan lama itu kalau install yang "benar". Install Windows XP dengan Service Pack 2 itu _tidak_ cukup. Mesti install 7 patches tambahannya juga. Install Windows 2000 dengan SP4 itu _tidak_ cukup. Mesti install 40 patches tambahannya juga Install Office XP dengan SP3 itu _tidak_ cukup. Mesti install 7 patches tambahannya juga. Install Office 2003 dengan SP1 itu _tidak_ cukup. Mesti install 6 patches tambahannya juga. Install anti-virus itu _tidak_ cukup. Mesti update engine dan database virus terbaru juga. Hal-hal diatas yang menyebabkan instalasi OS Windows dan aplikasinya menjadi lebih dari sekedar klik-klik saja. Kelihatannya server anda punya fungsi Microsoft Certificate Services ter-install. http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/WindowsServ/2003/ent erprise/proddocs/en-us/Default.asp? url=/resources/documentation/WindowsServ/2003/enterprise/proddocs/en- us/sag_CS_welcome.asp?frame=true Setelah meng-install Certificate Services, server anda akan jadi Certification Authority (CA) server, dan nama server berikut keanggotaan domain jadi *gak bisa diubah* lagi, karena sudah di- binding ke informasi CA di Active Directory. Sebagai CA server, server anda ibaratnya jadi lurah di network anda, bertugas membagikan KTP (alias Certificates) ke user, komputer, service, supaya mereka bisa kongkow-kongkow dalam network anda. NB: Analogi di atas adalah penggampangan, Certificates fungsinya lebih dari sekedar tanda pengenal. Certificates adalah bagian dari sistem Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), silakan Google untuk yang ingin mendalaminya lebih lanjut. Untuk mengubah nama atau keanggotaan domain server tsb, sebelumnya anda harus memindahkan fungsi CA server ini ke server lain, lewat Administrative Tools - Certification Authority. Baru setelah itu uninstall Certificate Services, dari Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - Add/Remove Windows Components di Windows Server 2003 anda. Tapi bisa baca dulu dokumentasi yang saya berikan di atas, menyangkut komponen2 Windows Server 2003 yang memanfaatkan certificates juga, misalnya IIS. Pak Almukti, Gak perlu panjang-panjang panggil saja Defianto :-) Server B di-promote sebagai "additional domain controller for an existing domain", alias DC tambahan untuk domain anda. Masa Depan Pendidikan di Aceh Saya tiga hari kemarin berada di aceh dan bersama dengan rekan2 komunitas pendidikan (TK, sekolah dasar dan menengah) di NAD terlibat diskusi dalam rangka rencana pemulihan, rehabilitasi dan rekonstruksi sekolah. Data yg didapat di lapangan, dari 1837 sekolah (TK, SD, SMP, SMU, SMK) di 19 kabupaten yg terkena bencana, hanya tinggal 723 yg tersisa. sedangkan sisanya rusak tidak bisa berfungsi atau bahkan hancur lebur... Pada kesempatan lain, saya sempat bertandang dan diskusi panjang lebar dengan Rektor Unsyiah. Katanya, Universitas Syiah Kuala lumpuh secara fungsional dalam skala 80%. Katanya, memang hanya seratusan tenaga pengajar yg hilang/meninggal. Tetapi dari yg tersisa, kebanyakan belum bisa berfungsi sebagaimana layaknya sebelum bencana, karena dalam situasi traumatis yg dalam, bahkan sebagian bisa dibilang parah. Waktu itu kita2 yg terlibat dalam diskusi sepakat bahwa jangan sampai ada generasi yg cacat di NAD. Untuk itu, "nafas pendidikan" jangan sampai terganggu dan teknologi (informasi) merupakan salah satu elemen yg diharapkan mampu menciptakan terobosan yang efektif. Kejadian di aceh baru2 ini merupakan kejadian yg "extra ordinary", hingga dibutuhkan terobosan yg juga "extra ordinary". Mampukah TI memberikan terobosan yg memadai ?? Hi member, Saya kemarin baru download kernel buat baca ntfs dari http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/rpm/redhat9.html Tapi waktu saya run command "dmesg | grep NTFS" (http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/rpm/instructions.html) saya dapat error message, NTFS driver v1.1.22 [Flags: R/O MODULE] NTFS: Reading super block failed Kenapa ya reading ntfs nya fail? Saya coba mount abis itu dapat error messagenya "wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda2, or too many mounted file systems (aren't you trying to mount an extended partition, instead of some logical partition inside?)" IT ers Comp. saya kena "Trojan Pardodo" efeknya selalu muncul pop-up iklan2, dan biar udah di remove beberapa kali, selalu muncul lagi so guys, ada yang tau cara nge- remove and kalo emang tau antivirus yang bagus buat ngilangin "Trojan Pardodo", tolong di kasi tau dong, FYI saya udah coba pake "sysclean ama spybot" dua2 nya, find and fix tuh, tapi selalu muncul terus pop-up2 nya tolong dibantu ya... Dear Rekan-rekan IT-ers, Komputer saya terinfeksi trojan downloader. Apabila sedang bekerja di Excel atau Word atau sedang buka aplikasi lain suka keluar sendiri internet explorer untuk mengarah ke situs tertentu. Apabila diclosed satu window IE maka akan terbuka window IE yang lain dengan situs yang berbeda. Saya sudah coba menon-aktifkan dari configurasi menu tetapi tidak berhasil. Dan selalu muncul terus.
