Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch: losseless wma support missing?
Thanks for the DBpoweramp tip. It's a great utility and currently running for 8 hours on the first batch. Some worry s about the ID tags.. the conversion of the WMA info is a bit strange. I will definitely buy this util after the evaluation periode. Nice tool, no hassle and no limits during the evaluation. Btw.. just had a listening session between my touch and a transporter ( on the same Tube amp).. it definitely is a match for that..maybe not 100% but 99% will do for me ;) -- seth_space seth_space's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37717 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77768 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch

Yes in this case trancoding is not an option, M$ would not allow this for other OS than windows for WMA lossles. And beside how powerfull is the NV+ ? maybe transcoding is not an option anyhow (to many nas'es are underpowered.) dBpoweramp batch converter then ? or fobar2000 or ... whatever. There is many programs that can convert in one go. Re: [SlimDevices: Touch] Touch: losseless wma support missing?
Welcome to the forum :) The Touch can not play WMA lossles by itself. But if you run the server on a Windows machine it should transcode to flac on the fly. Do you have flac.exe installed ? In the web-UI for squeezeboxserver settings > advanced > file types If you scroll down a bit to: Code: WMA Lossless FLAC MP3 PCM What are your settings there or are they greyed out ? -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J and assorted amps SiriuS, Classe'Primare and Dynadio speakers (including a pair of Contour 4 ) Bedroom/Office: Boom Kitchen: SB3 + powered Fostex PM0.4 Miscellaneous use: Radio (with battery) I use a Controller various ir-remotes and a Eee-PC with squeezeplay to control this Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=77768 ___ Touch mailing list Touch@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
