Dave,
I will definitely be joining the forum, thank you for the link.
This weekend I reformatted my machine and re-installed x64. I could
not get the SB3 to work via a wireless connection when using my
machine. I could get the SB3 to work wireslessly with someone else's
computer and when my co
While I don't mind acting as a go between, it would probably make sense
for you to join the EAC support mailing list directly. There are a lot
of good folks on the list who will do their best to help!

Thanks for going through the trouble DCtoDaylight.
I goofed, my error does say that the "application failed to initialize
properly" but I have error c018, not c005. I am so sorry.
I have no idea what codecs I have installed in the past or how to rid
my computer of ones that are instal
Hi tf,
I posted your problem to the EAC email users group last night, and got
the following:

c005 is an access violation (if I remember correctly), so please
read the following thread regarding access violations (mainly audio
codecs)
http://www.digital-inn.
I downloaded wnaspi32.dll from the link you provided and I placed it in
the folder. I tried running EAC and still got the same error.
I want to continue trying to get EAC to run because I am still having
problems getting slimserver to work. If I can ever get that to work I
will then require EAC

If you don't have an ATI tray icon then the process probably isn't
running, but I have to say I think you're barking up the wrong tree

DCtoDaylight,
the winaspi32.dll file is in my EAC folder. When I try to open EAC I
am unable to get far enough to do what you suggest.
In trying to disable the ATT I copied the processes on my computer. I
could not find what was suggested I end process on. Any more help from
anyone? PLEASE
The winaspi32.dll file was exactly the thing I was thinking might be
your problem. Its a problem that plagues many versions of windows (not
just x64). Put it in the EAC folder, and then in EAC, select the pull
down: EAC/EAC Options, click on the Interface tab, and switch to
"installed external A
I am pretty sure I put the correct .dll file into the folder. I will
double check that again when I get home tonight.
The file that is supposed to be in the folder is "WNASPI32.dll",
correct?
I will try and kill the process inside of the task manager tonight. I
hope this works. Thank you for

I believe the tray is on the lower right corner, and the quick launch
icons are on the lower left- at least w/ previous versions.
I do have an ATI videocard installed but there is nothing in the icon
tray.

If you don't mind, lets back up a bit... I really doubt is some sort of
32/64 bit thing, it's usually much simpler. Can you describe the
problem with EAC a bit more? The usual issue is that the software
starts, but it doesn't see your CD drives. Is this whats going on?
Also what operating sys

The last post in the thread explains how to fix the error with EAC.
Can someone please tell me how to fix the drivers spoken of in the
post?

I stepped through the beginner's guide and the ports were added
already.
I started another thread under the beginners area and someone suggested
I download the 64-bit Perl download. I will try that as soon as I get
home tonight.

There's an EAC forum here:
http://www.digital-inn.de/forum14/
I tried searching but the search function is all in German. However I
searched for "64-bit" and it didn't appear to find anything.
Regarding SlimServer, if it can't connect, it's a network or firewall
issue. Check the firewall firs
I found this link that describes the same problem I am having. The last
reply in the thread has a solution. Can anyone explain it to me? I am a
little thrown off by the solution to the problem.

I am still having no luck with EAC opening and I can not get Slimserver
to connect.
I have tried using the search function numerous times to find help with
this problem but the search never completes when I use the keyword,

I'm not sure if there's a 64-bit ASPI interface out there...
There's one built into Windows XP 32-bit, so hopefully Windows XP
64-bit has one. Nero has one but it's 32-bit. Perhaps they have a
64-bit version.

Now I get an error message that says failing to initialize properly.
I put the .dll file inside the folder with the executable. Any ideas?

You could use a tagging app like MusicBrainz Picard to get your tags
straight. MusicBrainz provides tagging information from an online
database ... I find it quite useful, and you can configure it to
'rename' your files and organize them into the folder structure and

Thanks Dave.
So far I was able to convert one CD from .wav to flac. I manually
input the title of each song and the info I wanted to tag about each
song. I believe this will allow my SB3 to show artist and song title,

EAC is basicly a ripper. It has a few other features, but it's main
purpose in life is to rip CD's. If you find some of the tracks that
iTunes ripped have skips or other problems, that's the reason for EAC,
it's slower, but does a better job ensuring perfect copies.
