I was wondering if anyone has or know where to get a Linux Mandrake 5.3 cd
cover. I downloaded the free ISO image of the CD, 550 meg or so, and burnt
off a cd. But I was wondering if anyone can give me a picture of the cd
cover so I can print it off and stick it in my cd case...If anybody does,

I got Q2 and Q1 working on my linux Box. They work ok considering I have
to run it in software, but due to the fact that it is in software, I can't
change the resolution any higher then the default of like 320x400 or
something. If you have a 3dfx card then you can get it working a lot better.

No joke, I have a celleron 333 and I can play mp3s full quality just fine,
let alone run dedicated Quake2 servers, be in Licq and KVirc, all while
playing mp3s...actually, it has never...ever...skipped on me.

Thom, ok, I know how to get into all that, I just don't know what it is

this...and if there isn't, there should be. I really don't want to have to

No, my Linux Drive is set as Primary master, then my Windows drive is set
as Primary Slave. My CD-Rom drive is therefor set as Secondary Master.
Tell me if you need anything else.

Yes, I have had this problem is settings as well. Your problem is in that
your desktop display is only set to 640x480...KDE needs atleast 1024x768 to
be able to view the full screen properly. Don't worry, it's not gonna be
too small of text :). Now, I'm sorry to say...I don't know exactly how t
Is there anyway to get around the Linux login screen. You know where you
enter your login name and password. I have heard of people getting this to
work correctly, I just don't have the slightest clue how? Thanks in advance.

Hey everybody, I am currently working on a mp3 car sterio system for my

linux to auto logon as root for instance and go into x-windows...or in my
case, KDE. I know there has got to be a way to do it, I'm just oblivious

Hey everybody,
I have been using linux for awhile and I really enjoy being able to use ICQ
on my Linux box. What I am wondering is if my Licq is up to date.
Basicly, if there is an "official" Licq webpage I could check out for
updates/quirks and stuff that I might need. Any links or info would

Hey, I figured it out. The problem is in the fact that KDE defaultly
installs the GLib and GTK in the "/usr" prefix directory. When in fact the
default location that ./configure sets it at is "/usr/local". So, all you
have to do, is when you are trying to configure either/both GLib and GTK

Hey everybody, I'm trying aimlessly to get my NIC working in my linux box.
I have Linux Mandrake 5.3 installed with a 3com Fast Etherlink XL (3c905)
card installed. I dled the c source code to the drivers and when I try to
compile, it shows me the errors that it got when it tried to compile, but
I have decided that most likely LANstar is a hoe-dunk poe-dunk company and
doesn't support linux. So I put in my other NIC, a 3com 3c900 "Boomarang".
Now I found the source drivers for it and compiled and installed the
module. But I don't know where to go from here, I dont' know how to see if
