Sure Gary,
Here's the URL:
http://www.kvirc.net/
to read up on it.
I chose the download section on the top of the page on the menu,
that page it shows locations in several countries.
I went to the bottom of that page and chose the section where
there are older KVIrc, it took me to the KVIrc dir

Sorry for the typo its 2.1.1
Kev
It is QT 2.1.1
Probably just a typo.

Hi folks,
I just want to say a Big thankyou to everyone who has helped me. I gave up using wine,
and
d/loaded kvirc 2.0.0. I ran the ./configure and it told me I needed to update my QT,
which
I did. I got and installed 2.2.1. took a long time to make. I looked at
ftp://kvirc.firenze.linux.it/pu
The news section on the kvirc site (http://www.kvirc.bz.nu/ -new url)
states that KDE2 support is a compile time option so if you want that
later it's better to d/l the tarball now.

Actually I am running it in the original KDE that came with
Mandrake 7.0 (Air) version 1.1.2-30mdk...I only had to update
QT2 to QT2.1.1 and use the tar.gz instead of the RPM.
It integrates differently with KDE 2.0 but I can't say how.
(But that is basically what the web site said)
Hope that he
OK...the new KVIrc version 2 is awesome!
Now how did I get it to run, you may ask. I had the same
problems everyone else had when I tried to install the rpm.
Well, I went and got the QT2.1.1 and upgraded my existing
QT2.
Then I got the RPM and using gnorpm I installed it.
Same problem as ever
The 2.0.0 version of Kvirc is designed to work with KDE 2.0 only.

Did you use the i386.rpm of it? or source?
May want to try an earlier version I am using 1.0 Millenium version
That works well, except misc options.

PS I will go to KVirc and see if I can get it and install it.
However, it wouldn't be conclusive since I am using 7.0 (Air).
Sorry.
