Isn't the menu item on the classic SBs added by the Rescan Music Library
plugin? Probably that plugin needs to be updated to make the option
available on the SqueezePlay menus, too.

i rarely use the web ui. when i owned the sb3, i did most of my
controlling through the remote. i just set up the sb3 menus in the web
ui and rarely accessed it beyond that.

I start my scans when I add the files, thenI'm sitting in front of a
computer anyway.
Use the web interface no need to lug out any keyboard and stuff ?
Do you never use the web-UI for setting up playlist and such things ?

i run the power server control plugin on my touch. this allows me to
turn on and off the server with the remote. the server is in a
completely different room. what your telling me is i have to connect a
monitor, keyboard, and mouse to the headless server, get up, go to
where the server is, and man
But the ip3k players has this feature.
It was once rised as an enhancement request in bugzilla for the duet
(controller), but turned down to wontfix for no comprehensible reason.
But now when Touch is going to replace SB3 let's add this to the list
of SB3 features that was not migrated.
