Yes, I'm having exactly the same difficulty with Flash being the most
obvious one. Didn't have any kernel panic today though...

I'm still having trouble with system occasionally freezing. It only happens
when I leave the mouse still for a couple of minutes and I can unfreeze it
by moving the mouse around, but it takes about 15-20 seconds. This is
almost the same thing that was happening because, it just isn't fatal. I've
Desktop effects (Compiz) are working now again - played arround a bit
with xorg.conf ;o) - So from my point of view this bug is done. I had
some trouble with the Indexer (Desktop-Serach) and one day a new kernel
killed my audio output but that's a different story and already fixed.

It happened to me too a couple of times since installing a fresh install
of Hardy on my Dell D400 (note: I just bought a new 5400 RPM 80 GB
Seagate disk, I had a 4200 RPM 30 GB Hitachi in the original
configuration. I had to make a workaround for the laptop disk killer bug
for the new disk).

Same Problem here - updated 7.10 to 8.04beta1. The problem may be caused
by display driver. After installing "915Resolution" symptoms are better
but not gone. Info-Popups in Gnome-Applet area seem to slow down system
dramaticly. Kernel 2.6.22 seems to be less/not affected.
