[313] aubrey

2001-11-11 Thread Maarten Baute
Hi people,

I was just wondering on wich ep and on wich label aubrey - shimmer was
released? Was it on solid groove or textures or .. ?
And where to find a copy on the net ??

Thank you very much,
Maarten

PS " i love techno " is now officialy the worst party with the worst music
ever.. I listened to the broadcasts on the national Belgian radio.. and the
Bandulu life act was RIDICULOUS.. it was worse than the worst crap... I mean
really crap.. I never heard something like it... "techno from the street, nu
skool! rumble!" as the mc was yelling *cool* (not)

[313] Kenny Larkin mp3

2001-11-11 Thread Matthew Mangold
Wondering if anyone knew where I could find the 120 min mp3 of a live dj set
performed by Kenny Larkin that was floating around not too long ago? I think
I had picked it up off Napster just before their service was discontinued,
however I recently lost the file before I could back it up, and would like
to add it to my playlist again.

[313] Forcefield Reviews.

2001-11-11 Thread Lee Herrington

Hey folks. Can anyone tell me what happened to the regular posting of
LP/EP reviews at Forcefield.org? I used to look forward to the wide
selection of tunes covered. The rest of the site's content is always
engaging, but I miss the monthly updates. Any info would be much
appreciated. Thanks.

That's a shame. I have found many a good cd at the cut out bin at My Gen.

Though in my humble opinion, Bent Crayon is still the best record shop in
the midwest...

[313] New track

2001-11-11 Thread Dennis DeSantis
Hi folks,

I always feel a bit like a cheeseball advertising a new online track. But
folks on this list have been very kind to my work in the past, so I figured
some might be interested to hear about new material.

Anyway, a new track entitled "Priority" is online as of today. Comments are
always appreciated.

Take care,
Dennis DeSantis

[313] NOSTALGIA

2001-11-11 Thread Lee Herrington

A few days ago, I stopped at a local record store that I used to frequent.
Some of you Cleveland 313'ers might know of My Generation. As early as 2000
it was possible to find Elecktroids, Dan Curtin, Octave One, Urban Tribe,
Kenny Larkin, Morgan Geist, Drexciya and other mind-blowing artists in the
"cut-out" bin. I am talking 50% to 67% discounts on some of the rarest and
finest out-of-print Detroit direct and inspired material. I still remember
catching my breath when I bought "The Web Of Life" for $5.87.
Anyway, to get to my point, when I stopped in recently... the clearance
bin I knew was gone! They still have a section of cut-outs, but it does not
provide the 313 addict with any material. I can only guess that they may
have decided to discard the old material. Oh well... years before this sad
occurrence I was feeding my vinyl habit at Bent Crayon. I am still able to
get my hands on primo Red Planet EP's, but nothing beats paying $4.35 for
mint copy of "Panic In Detroit". No sh#t... I still reel at that
discovery. Any other 313'ers have similar "amazing discovery" tales?

of the Heavenly LP (vinyl) but no such luck, if anyone has seen one around
in stock could they email me off list, that'd be wicked
