Actually the T.H.D. will be digital only!

Since I'm a music nerd I listen to just about everything that comes
out on a weekly basis, and with the advent of new technologies, I
can't say that the quality has increased, less quality control
perhaps? That's just my observation.

But vinyl isn't the flavor of the month, I've had to except that fact,
the silver lining being that I can now snap up doubles on slept on
titles for pennies on the dollar! I just have no interest in lugging
my laptop to a gig and hoping no one walks off with it. Records are
heavy so I guess that's an anti-theft deterrent built in;)

Thank you for mention Frank.

Technoir Audio has 3 releases ready to drop later this year as well. A
stunning new 12" from Arne Weinberg, Mr. Rudiman and Matt Kulengosky.

Also, TNA will be entering the digital realm, while we all still rock
the block gold, there's a rumour out there stating that some people
are using .WAV files nowadays. I don't get it but, to each it's own,
so expect to see our entire back catalog, at your favorite digital

Stay tuned to 313, infinitestatemachine, and technoiraudio.com for

on deck:

I-75 new mix from yours truly, which will be the ideal soundtrack for
the drive up to this year's Techno festival.

Something deep down tells me that they're having a laugh on this one.

And that they will be doing that on the way to the bank.

Re: (313) Anyone heard the new Shawn Rudiman?

2008-05-08 Thread Frank Glazer
No, as much as I hate to admit it, redshizzle was right in posting
that. Thou shalt not post personal email replies back to the list.
Now, technically John didn't paste Shawn's private reply back to the
list, but it's apparent to me that Shawn didn't message the list, John
just posted his reply to Shawn directly to the list. My best guess is
that Jwan forwarded the email to Shawn, OR Shawn is lurking, emailed
John directly off-list, and John did something goofy in replying.
Either way, like Kent said last week, thou shalt not post private mail
back to the list. Not only is it technically illegal, it makes things
confusing and makes you look like a dipwad. So, nice going John, you
dipwad. ;)

2008-05-08 Thread Odeluga, Ken
Surely allowable topics for this list are not that narrow?

"This list was set up by myself to be a forum for the discussion of
Detroit techno artists or artists directly influenced by Detroit techno
artists." From the homepage. It also says: "just as the works of the
original Detroiters has provided the framework on which much of techno
music has been built upon so too should the stated purpose of the list
serve as the basis for *broader discussion*"

[I added the emphasis].
