AFAIK they're behind the Real Soon label and all the productions so far
released on it. Real Soon reissued the C2 mixes of Hooter, and the two
other releases are well worth checking out - in fact the Iken 10" is
one of my absolute favourite records of the last 12 months by a long
way...

Greetings all.

I just joined this list a couple of days ago in the hope that I can revive
my interest in Detroit Techno. I've always loved that electronic Detroit
sound, but over the past few years I've not been buying much music at all.
Mainly due to a lack of money and not knowing what to look out for.

Anyway, I was wondering if there were many artists out there with mp3s to
share? I used to visit mp3.com every so often where they had a Detroit
section, and some of the music was really quite good.

Also, I've got an album from a number of years ago by the Detroit
Escalator Company. Does anyone know if they're still going? That's one of my
favourite all time albums. Really nice music.

One other thing, if there are any artists or producers out there looking
for drum machine samples from the 80s and 90s, I've got all the samples from
45 drum machines on my website www.avene.org All free to download.

  Regards,

Glenn

All I can say about the originals (got the dang1ep and 005/006 promo's) that
they sound like all of my records from that era in music history.

Hi folks-

The prospect of getting a compilation album of carl craig's retroactive
label seemed like a good idea at the time, but DO NOT get the LP that
Buzz has re-issued called Equinox : Night and Da.

True, those songs on their are really interesting; wrap me in his
arms..ect Even the placid angels and an old octave one track are on it.
These records are gold mines on ebay, But Seriously. the pressing is so
quiet that I can't even boost the bass to make it sound half decent.
Plus, the pressing is really noisy .

im going to ask buzz what the deal is. (anybody here have any ideas why
they cant do a decent re-press?) The long and short of it is that I
heavily advise you save your 20 beans for something else.

What do you expect on a 128 kbps bitrate,
If you listen carefully you will hear a nice put together stereo sound
view
If I will buy the record...don't know..

Re: Re: (313) 'Techno' Music

2003-10-26 Thread Arno
I guess I agree with everybody...
Isn't it sothat every emotion, feeling that you get listening to music
or a specific song is created by the experience you had the first time you
heared this song or something familair..
I 'v been collecting records since the '80the '90...i've seen
the development of the elctronik music...but don't ask me about titles,
names, the history...mzik is to feel..close your eyes discver the
emotion it is giving youor not...?
Detroit, Chicago, London, Ibiza, Amsterdam.each city or place has
its own emotion and sub culturesbut we all share the same united
love...
In the beginning of the '90 I got infected by the vinyl virus...afraid
of missing arecord each week.totally losing control of what I had or not
have...thank GOD I woke up one dayhaving a bunch of
kids...less record buying...three years of listening to my 'old'
records..WOW what a beatyfull records do I have..each one of em is a
JEWEL

I agree Dr., its not the date, year or . its SOUL
 Mantronix...??..now you're talking
I. remember dancing on mantronix 15 years agoSimpleSimon is one of
those songs I got a 'past' emotion on.
What happened to Joyce 'Come in to my life' Sims?
