Re: (313) Carl Craig on Saturday

2000-03-03 Thread Jesteven
I can assure you that it was not anything off the hard hitting Kalamazoo
techno imprint. Asylum seakers has a vocal of "Lets get highso
high..blah blah ...
I FEEL GOOD" in the same voice as many other BN pressings (House of God etc..)
It does have that whole cameras ready prepare to flash thing happenin though.
Sorry I know nothing about the track in question.
Peace

It might have been Vice - "Asylum Seekers" (Black Nation) ?
It has vocals somewhat similar to what you describe, it's a house track
very much Green Velvet-style.

Could be a few different ones, but it sounds like "It's Alright, I Feel It"
from NuYorican Soul (aka Masters at Work).

- Nah, not that one, but cheers for the info.

(313) Carl Craig on Saturday

2000-02-29 Thread Nick Craddock

Yeah, I know this thread's finished, but I've got new info / questions

- My mate, who stayed longer than me said that 'No Way Back' was either
Carl's last track, or even the first track of the guy after him.

- Does anyone know the name of that wicked house track that he played, which
had a really uplifting vocal which went "I feel alright, the world is good!"
(or something similar)?

- In response to the query about the Richie Hawtin Mary Anne Hobbs mix.
Richie did an hour mix on her show (she's a late night BBC Radio jock) in
December last year. It was all quite downtempo stuff.

- Was someone talking about a new Mills 12" the other day or did I dream it?

Peace,

Nick
