i would say that any mix that is over 3 hours long of just one genre
stands a pretty good chance of getting boring no matter what genre it
is.

It would have had more impact at one disc. After a while it just
sounds like sonic wallpaper. It just lost my attention. It's not bad,
it just wasn't mindblowing. I've heard a few discs like it - it
doesn't stand out. The best in the Balance series probably came from
Paolo Mojo - that was arresting. Balance is locally conceived here in
Melbourne and has taken on the ol' Global Underground hegemony, but I
still think they could broaden their scope.

I must say, that even since this is a post for something on an outlet I
much appreciate, I concur with the post below.

Seemed masterful enough, and the tracks were pristine and well recorded
enough, and maybe it will take 17 listens to 'get it', but I think it's
just for a different audience and just for a different purpose.

As much as I can be a shy bit negative on things, I prefer not to, but
the post below posed a great question - what's the point?

Per my comment of Hawtin's advertisement of that new ipod-dj-box, of
which he very well may think is cool, which I do as well, sounds like a
great opportunity to sell some product, and license some
friends'/colleagues tracks.
