It was mostly indie and minimal customers, which as I noted earlier in
my poorly phrased note, hid a lot of the very-good-for-these-days
electronic and techno sections.  They always had an up to date wall.

That's really unfortunate.

It took me a little bit for the store to grow on me, given that they
have so much minimal, but they always kept an up to date techno
section, even with fresh detroit records making it in regularly into
the techno pile.

It's 2 blocks away from my current apartment, and I always talked to
the owner and one of the dudes who works there.

Really passionate, although fairly indie inclined folks.  Their
electronic guy was great, they'd always talk forever and help.

Anyways - I'll be sure to buy some records there by close.

Market is still there.  Dance tracks on 3rd St did close a while 
ago.

In the east village/LES  you've got Etherea, Academy, Good Records, 
A-1, Gimme Gimme, Sound Library, and Deadly Dragon Sound (reggae).

Speaking of, what are the best stores in NYC currently? I haven't been
record shopping in the city since I got married two years ago O_o Is
