Those Z things are v.limited pressings used by UR DJs etc. AFAIK, though other
folks on here would know better than me whether you
can or could get them from Somewhere In Detroit or some other clandestine
method. Judging from the "B1" it must have actually been
on wax though.

No I don't think so as the Discogs entry for that says it's 2002 when those
Deep Space mixes are 93 / 94.

Anyway ordered the Isaac Hayes LP (which looking at the cover art I think
I've heard before, my mate has it and we even sampled something from it,
though a much slower track) - a mere £7 Dan, so plenty change from £15 to
get some Desperados with.

Plus

> the j.m.silk/farley version right? maybe check that as well

(for £1) as I thought you meant "Love Can't Turn Around" by Farley but I
realise now there was the J.M.Silk version too? - think I've heard the
story here before my memory fails me, did they work on it together then
released different versions or one covered the other or something? I
remember SSH laughing about the rivalry they had on that 3 part BBC history
of dance music thing.

Just hope they get here in time for our boat party Saturday (any 313 peeps
visiting Manchester who'd like something nice to do check
http://www.thatamazingthing.com/upcoming.htm, there's 11 tickets left at mo)
- I can play Hayes on the boat and Silk at the afterparty!

Got those Ron Hardy mixes downloaded from the deephousesite even if they are
in Real form. Got mp3s for me Alex? Speaking of that BBC doc I may not
have been the long time fan you are but hearing people like Derrick May
talking about what the Music Box was like on there made me want an ACME
Tardis.

Come on the rest of you don't let Alex do all the work - what is this
remake? Since as mentioned it's from a Deep Space Radio gig it's firmly on
topic and so someone here should know.

Indeed I was already going to mail that presumably the Hayes record is the
source of samples for that also as I'd already noticed how similar the thing
I'm after was to that

Got it

No worries about all that, now I know what it is I know exactly where to go:

That's the one.

At the end of John Acquaviva's 1/1/01 set on http://www.paxahau.com it's the
last or next to the last song... Has a vocal track that says 'Carry
on' in several variations.. Kind of a slamming peak hour house tune.
Anyone?

Thanks much in advance,
Tim

The one Sean is looking for is the more recent remix which Scott
mentioned. Whether it's better or not than the one on the EP is
questionable but it's the one that the opening dj at Motor spun Saturday.

Fw: (313) track ID part II

2000-05-09 Thread Scott Stone
That was the original. Black Jack released the remix single - the one I
listed - within the last month or so. I've heard of more remixes on Azuli
coming out soon. I don't know when exactly. In any case, it should be
pretty easy to get. (maybe not the 'Flagrant Delight')..
