i doubt there is.
i remember g-man from the deephousepage once responding to a question from
one of the people on the dhp messageboard that francois had kindly asked him
not to put any of his mixes up on the internet [eventhough he had plenty]
apparently fk is one of those dj's that thinks that you should experience
his dj sets live, and not in front of your computer where you're missing a
large part of the experience of that particular night.
whether you agree with his feelings or disagree, result is that the chances
of one of his performances showing up online are slim.

2003-05-02 Thread Robert Taylor
Don't despair, Alex.
He returns to our shores on 2nd August for a gig at Plastic People, possibly
London's finest club (definitely the finest system).
Last time he played there, he played exactly the kind of set he seems to be
playing at Deep Space NYC.
You're right though, his recent Tribal and Lost sets were hardly what you would
call eclectic.

2003-05-02 Thread Mann, Ravinder [CCS]
D-e-e-p listening... It's a nod to the old days Would love to experience
something like that...

Its all just simply fantastic music, irrespective of the genre...I wonder how
he mixes the tracks ? I mean Maxwell into The Congas into Pete Shelly (surely
not from The Buzzcocks ??? - don't know the song but im guessing its punky)
how is that possible ??? *scratches head*

I think a crowd would may support it, given time and an open mind.

But I cant think of many dj's that would would be brave enough to even attempt
such a set on a regular basic in a club. Might work in smaller inimate bars tho.

Wish I'd made it to this one... I can't believe he played It's All Gone
Pear-Shaped. That's one of my favorite tracks...

When and where is this place?
