RE: (313) DEMF prediction
Yeah actually I don't mind side B, although I'm not absolutely mad about it. It's quirkier. And I feel it might grow one me. I feel I already have absorbed all the juice out of side A and I've only heard it about 3 times. I tend to think that the headline track is the A side though, so that's what I was levelling my ire at. FWIW, I was speaking of the B side when I mentioned my DEMF prediction. I will be shocked and amazed if I don't hear it at least once. That melody is irresistible!!! You're wrong. It's amazing. Not very minimal either. And it has a melody! Which is why people might think it could be a big tune at DEMF I suppose. Cool. I'll try and listen out for it when out. Ahem. This isn't a bad time to RE-SPAM the list with something fun coming up on Friday. Stop reading now, if you're averse. Speaking of Transmat, label owner Derrick May, AKA techno demi-god Mayday will in fact be playing a six-hour set for us at Bleep43 this Friday, in London. Mr. May has promised that as it's us, he will not be bringing his box of 'Super-Club Techno.' Instead, expect a set of fun, across the board, deeper techy gear, house, disco and whatever takes his fancy, a la his best sets at Lost, DEMF 2000, and Mix-Up Vol. 5. Hope to see a whole lot of you there. http://www.bleep43.com/ Cheers. Greetings 313! I hope you're right Robin, I'm making my debut appearance at Movement this year... finally making the pilgrimage to techno mecca : ) Started the Detroit warm-up by catching Iggy & the Stooges live the other week (playing through Raw Power.) Next up it's a 6 hour Derrick May set at Bleep, that should be a fitting send-off.
