I should mention that we'll also be doing a repeat of last year's 3rd
Earth Graphics exhibition here at the shop in Glasgow alongside a
showing of the IF2 documentry and Suburban Knight/Clandestine- it's
the following week from Thursday 17th to Saturday 20th Aug. Can't
afford to get that Matt Chester guy though, he's well out of our
league :)

cheers

Cheers Rob, we've been working towards this since last year.

Running order:

Doors 9.30pm
DJ until 10.45pm, the IF2 movie starting at 10.45pm its 1hour 15mins long, then
short dj set, Matt C Live, UR Djs...

We're putting new sound into the Coronet and it has a 45 foot screen to show
the movie on, as well as footage of Timeline Live at Womb (1 hour), Chaos live
at the Liquid Room (30mins) an if all goes to plan a Banks interview.

Abdul Haqq artwork on display and to buy along with some other merchandise that
we're trying to sort out.

Im pleased its coming together ha-ha

RE: (313) UR Party in Belgium/Gent

2005-01-24 Thread John Osselaer
I have to agree, Saturday was the most fun I had in a long time, but that's
probably because of all the familiar faces, many from abroad.

A full report on TT.org? Yeah, it's gonna get on the site eventually, but we
are 'a bit' behind at the TT headquarters. The last couple of months have
been slow because KJ and I had other worries, mainly pretty stressful day
jobs taking the best out of us. Things are picking up though. The TT
strategical information bomber is about to take off again for a series of
new strikes. ;-)

Hell yes! What a great night, with great music, and wonderful people!
Easily one of the best parties I've been to in quite some time...

Yeaaah really a good party. All dj's was excellent without exception.
A very special ambiance at this party...

And if you can, listen to the 'True Colors' DJ mix by Dj 3000, funky and very
representative of his performances !

A big thanks to all for this party !

In wait of the TT report, you can find some 'little low resolution' pics at

Hear, hear! I don't forget to mention that guy who was playing before
DJ3000 and James Pennington! He dropped the sweetest collection of deep
and funky detroit cuts. James and Franki blew me away, the crowd was
really into it, lots of old and new friends being around, and i must
say that this party was one of the bests i have been to in a long
while...

More nights like this please!

The Decadance club (Gent-Belgium) build on her reputation in the underground
scene for years. They earn all support and respect from the scene. The
future will be bright with more clubs like decadance :)

UR Party

2001-01-03 Thread David Hampson
>>Upon arrival I was glad to discover very friendly
joking security<<

I stand by my review of it (which never made the 313 list but I know a few
people would have individually got it and it went to IDM) that the security
here were the rudest, most aggressive and badly organised security staff I
have ever encountered. I don't like being kept waiting for nearly two hours
in torrential rain, let alone having to endure being pushed and threatened
when I reach the front of the queue. I also saw the clown "in charge" of
security physically threaten people because they weren't making a nice neat
line!

>>no trouble getting in<<
Like I said in my book nearly two hours is a long wait - I arrive at 9:50
and got in at 11:30 - there was a line twice as long as when I got there
waiting to get in.

The venue was excellent except it was cold, with the exception of the
well-heated R&B room, but All Saints isn't my taste, and upstairs they
seemed to be playing mostly bad pop music - never caught sign of Moodyman
but didn't want to listen to whatever it was playing when I went up there!
Once everyone had got warmed up a little and out of there wet rags it was an
incredible atmosphere and the music was faultless, unless you don't like
techno!
