[AI] About advanced Braille keyboard
Here is a brief note for the beginners about the functioning of advanced braille keyboard. There are 4 type commands in it. The first one works on simple touch so as to produce the desired letter. The second works on swiping commands. The 6 dotes are points to swipe to left, 0; or right, 1; for some specific purpose such as to delete character or add space. The third type is touch hold commands. Stay for a while on a particular letter so as to produce the assigned effect. For example stay on 123 to spell out the previous word. The 4th type is hold and swipe command. Stay on a right side dote and swipe on a left side dote or vice versa; to produce the assigned effect. For example, 620 and 621 deal with privacy screen. Stay on dote 6 and swipe on dote 2. this note is from my limited knowledge. Hope someone will provide the lacking information. [AI] An interesting feature in advanced Braille keyboard
I would like to introduce one actractive feature in advanced braille keyboard. By swiping right from dote 3 we can turn on action mode. There we can deal with the text with much freedom than in the edit mode. The reason behind the freedom is that there is no chance of accidental Dotes. There are 5 type cursor movements. To move cursor through words forward and backward dote 1 and 4 respectively. Through sentences dote 2 and 5. To the beginning of the passage, dote 3. To the end of the passage, dote 6. To the beginning of a paragraph dote 12; to the end of a paragraph Dote 45. To the previous paragraph dote 14; to the next paragraph dote 25. now there are 5 type reading. Entire passage dote 1245. Passage to the left of the cursor, 123; passage to the right of the cursor, 456. Word at the left of the cursor, 23; word at the right of the cursor, 56. Read selection, 15. Read clipboard, 24. Now there are 3 ways to select text. Entire passage selection; 2356. To select last cursor movement, 124. The third way is the selection of the text between the cursor and the selection point. To mark a selection point dote 145. Cut, 1234. Copy, 1235. Paste, 1236. Delete, 1346. Edit field changing as if while writing e male. Next edit field 12345, previous edit field 12456. To shrink keyboard Back to its normal position, 36. To bring it back to the writing position, give a 2 finger swipe from left To right in the shrunken edit field. To come to the edit mode from the action mode, swipe to right from dote 3 again. There are commands for all these in edit mode as well, but they are hold and swipe commands. We are likely to forget those commands. The most convenient braille screne type in my opinion is 2 hand screne outward. We must hold the set in such a way that the top right corner in contact with our right thumb, and the top left corner in touch with the little Finger. The bottom right corner in touch with our left thumb, and the bottom left corner in touch with the little finger. Then the 3 middle fingers of both hands will be free to produce 6 dotes on the screne. In case the mobile can produce only 5 simultaneous dotes, it must be set manually. i think this application will be very useful for students to learn grade 3 contractions also. an application called advanced braille keyboard is available in playstore which helps us writing in android mobiles. Now fast writing is possible because even third grade contractions can be used in it. Besides a lot of languages are included in it. it is not a free software but there is the refund option if our mobile does not support multy touch. Again physical keyboard also can be used. "It was great!" said Wes Majerus of Baltimore, the first blind person to drive the buggy on a closed course at the Virginia Tech campus this summer. Majerus is an access technology specialist with the National Federation of the Blind's Jernigan Institute. Mark Riccobono takes a test drive Rather than producing a fully-autonomous vehicle, the team designed the vehicle so that the blind motorist has complete control of the driving process, as any sighted driver would. This approach led to new challenges, including how to effectively convey the high bandwidth of information from the laser sensors scanning the vehicle's surrounding environment to the driver fast enough and accurate enough to allow safe driving. As a result, the team developed non-visual interface technologies, including a vibrating vest for feedback on speed, a click counter steering wheel with audio cues, spoken commands for directional feedback, and a unique tactile map interface that utilizes compressed air to provide information about the road and obstacles surrounding the vehicle. Once the technology is perfected, laws now barring the blind from driving and public perception must be changed, Riccobono said. The team is already planning major changes to the technology, including replacing the dirt buggy vehicle with a fully electric car. Hi all members in the list, This time I'm seeking your help. My friend is going to present a seminar paper on the topic "The need for blind women empowerment". As you all know, marginalization against V.I. women is far worse than that against V.I. men. We'd like to focus mainly on the following things. A comparison between vi women in India and abroad, the psychological stress inflicted up on a VI woman due to marginalization in family, society and even in our own community.we'd also like to emphasize the need for becoming a respectable member in the society only for survival etc. I request you to provide us with valuable points, informations and experiences and there by enrich our attempt. Besides, inform me about the organizations for V.I. women both at national and international levels. Is there any law in favour of P.H. or V.I. woman.
