So, if the last 33 years only took 10 years, according to Asbury
revisionist history I'm only 12 years old?

Maybe this odd timekeeping is how they justify with a straight face
that they actually ARE meeting their deadlines???

[AsburyPark] Asbury Park BOE Election

2007-04-17 Thread asburycheech
Dear Group Members,

Thanks to all of the Asbury Park residents who voted in the Board
of Ed election. As you know there were five seats in contention, and
those winning were Garrett Giberson, Barbara Lesinski, Tom Pivinski,
Adrienne Sanders, and myself. No matter whom you voted for, I am
deeply appreciative of all those who participated in the democratic
process. I am also grateful for the hard work of APAC which resulted
in such an excellent showing. Marie Castro, a really terrific lady,
came in fourth out of the eight people (or nine if count the candidate
who ran as a write-in) who ran for a three-year term. Mrs. Sanders
ran unopposed, although there were reportedly several write-in votes
cast in opposition, including at least one for Sanjaya! Thanks again!

2007-04-17 Thread oakdorf
I want a refund.

May 19, 1974ASBURY PARK - This city, once a leading summer resort, began
its 100th
birthday celebration last night by memorializing the past and preparing for the
future.

JJ, help me with the math. 74+33 = 107.

Maybe the folks at disney came up with this, cause I think I got screwed there
also. They
celebrated for a few years.

[AsburyPark] Kate mellina's article

2007-04-17 Thread asburyact
This is a seriously flawed article. Unfortunately, my resignation
letter was not published by the Coaster. It explained exactly why I
resigned. I resigned because of intimidation, both overt and covert,
by D'Alessandro, Di Santo and their cohorts. As I said in my letter,
these people are a bunch of moral low-lifes who do not deserve to be
representing our community, our children and the majority of the
teachers and support staff in the district. I gave 8 years of my heart
and soul to give our children what they deserve, a quality education.
I love these children as my own, however, my own family was being
threatened and I had to leave. I have never in my life seen people
with such dishonorable and self-serving motives, willing to crush
anyone who gets in their way, especially our children. Someday, I will
tell the story of my years on the Board. Eileen Sonnier

In return, she found herself (unsuccessfully) sued by the Board of

longtime school administration apologist Adrienne Sanders.

Like I said, I can't confirm this, but it does come from somebody who I
consider to be a

This thing was doomed from the begginning. So you can back and say no
units were sold nownow there is more competition in the price
points at Wesley.

On condos: take a peek at the Esperanza. I did.

1. They have a full built 2 bed w den model inside the 4th ave
pavillion. Very nicely done. Base price aropund $560 - $680-$810,000
depending on 1400 sqft or 1700 sq ft

2. They are selling "scattered" units thorugh the building - ie -
they are "releasing" several units a week. I'm sure if you ran in and
demanded one of the $2m plus units, they kiss you're rear.

3. The owners bought 2 units on top floor, private pool etc.

4. One bedroom example (about 900 sq ft) ask $385,000 (not bad,
right?) Then add in: Maint Fee: $293 month. And the Abated taxes:
$483 per month with projected 10% increases each 2 years to year 10.
Then - it MIGHT go down (if ratabales in AP increases so much)
or, they could go up (ratables never get to full steam in 10 years).
 - Using these numbers ($1,000) to cover basics, then add in your
mortage. Renting may be a better option and try to hook up with one
of the $2m plus buyers.

5. You need 10% down to hold.

6. I'm more then happy to schedule showings as the buyer's agent.
