Actually, in Long Branch, the city refuses to video tape the
meetings. For the last year the people at meetings have asked the
Mayor & Council to cause Comcast to tape and view them as they are
renegotiating the cable contract.

I have been taping them and putting them up at
http://www.longbranch.tv myself. For the last 4 plus years, except
when I am out of town. Then another volunteer has done it and gotten
the tape to me to place on the site. It has been at no one's cost
but my own. (not complaining, it is my civic contribution)

Also, it is easy for me to do as I have all the equipment, the
server, the software and I work on internet projects all day long.

4Or are you [so blind as to] trifle with and presume upon and despise

fact] that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repent ([a]to
change your mind and inner man to accept God's will)?

[AsburyPark] Stand Up For ........

2008-11-13 Thread Kevin Brown
31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy
angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall
separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from
the goats:

33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the
left.

34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye
blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the
foundation of the world:

35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye
gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in
prison, and ye came unto me.

37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we
thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and
clothed thee?

39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto
you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my
brethren, ye have done it unto me.

41Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me,
ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his
angels:

42For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and
ye gave me no drink:

43I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me
not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an
hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison,
and did not minister unto thee?

45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch
as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the
righteous into life eternal.

[AsburyPark] "If I may" from Kevin Brown

2008-11-06 Thread Kevin Brown
I know I was not an active member of this list. I also realize that
many have challenged me and my credability, and that's alright. As a
matter of fact it's my point.

Many of us form our opinions based on issues we align with and not with
the actual person, which in many cases is so different.

I have been out of my building for a few months now and have had plenty
of time to contemplate life and where one lives and who they are.

I am fortunate in a way, that the very faith i possess has some
thinking I am crazy, well it's that very faith that has kept me sane.

It does not matter who is elected in our councils, state and country if
we remain united and focused we are the changeing force in our
communities, our states our country.

Be united and benefit by positive change, cause when it is boiled down
we all want the same things. Peace, home, family, health and
prosperity.

Let us all be the force of change no matter what one person sits on the
throne for awhile.

God Bless you all.
God bless The Shore.
God bless America.

I didn't realize this until I prepped my blog for the religious lists I

Tom I would be most interested in what you will say.

There is none!

Moderate republicans remain, yet all conservative voices in the House
are now slienced.

I do not think this has ever occurred in the nation's history.

I think I will name the Ranch here "Goshen."

[AsburyPark] Re: Official!

2008-11-05 Thread Kevin Brown
I only have one observational comment, as for now other than taxing
ammunition I am not going to be affected as much as urban dwellers. I
have decided to spend at least the next 4 years on 800 acres of good
recreational grass lands and farm lands.

How did we get from the names, Washington, Jefferson, Adams, Franklin
to Obama, before it being an Italian American?

If it get's that bad back there, I am subdividing some of the New
Lighthouse Property into Ranchettes, homesteads and even building a
historic western town complete with saloon and general store. There
will be special considerations made for jersey evacuees...

Don't miss out on our pre - swearing in sale!

God Bless America...

[AsburyPark] Eminent Vacation & Anti EDA Tour - and a woof!

2008-09-30 Thread Kevin Brown
Hello Asbury Park! I thought someone on the board would be
interested in hearing an update from me. First me and my three
mastiffs are fine and well and traveling the mid and south west.

Stopped in Bonner Springs, Kansas to see the new NASCAR track they
built there. Visited with my grand daughters and headed down into
Texas to do a few dog shows. I am in Houston after weekend in
Lubbock. Helping out the storm victims... There is always some thing
to do no matter where one finds themselves.

I am also taking the opportunity to show my mastiffs in dog shows en
route on my journey. The case for the Broadway Building is still in
Appealate and we shall see how that turns out. I have had a few
opportunities to speak out against EDA in different places where laws
are being considered to remove private property owners from their
property for development. The American people are extremely
concerned about eminent domain for private development gain!

The Presidential campaign better pick it up and a candidate needs to
take a positive position for property rights and protection from the
abuses we have seen in New Jersey.

I got to tell you, America is laughing at us for allowing it. I of
course miss home, however, this is what happens when government is
allowed to pass laws that harm the good people under them.

I posted some new pictures I hope you are all well and enjoying your
lives. It is just too short to moan and groan too often.

God Bless The Jersey Shore.

Rev. Kevin Brown

[AsburyPark] Re: bad luck building?

2008-09-14 Thread Kevin Brown
and here in is the major problem with the use (abuse) of eminent
domain... They took the building not for a school or police station
or a bridge, highway or hospital... they took it from one owner to
give to another private non governmental owner, who will profit from
it for many years...

Adding insult to injury, for less than the actual value and no where
near the replacement value and with no consideration for the costs
associated with the action or the relocation.

It's a simple and obvious failing of the intended use of eminent
domain.

It needs to stop!

[AsburyPark] Re: bad luck building?

2008-09-13 Thread Kevin Brown
I don't know where you got your information from, but I would like to
see you validate it. The auto parts store that was once there was not
the building owner.

As I understood it back in 1994 when we bought it.

The outright civil rights violation by Long Branch in the C 1 zone of
1994 was a well thought out conspiracy. Unknown to me at the time,
people were making big plans for lower Broadway. They were just
waiting till the proces went so low. The present developer offered the
owners $10,000 in 1994. I of course gave them what they wanted $40K.

All for $30,000 Katz has gone through developer hell with our challenge
and we are not done. On Nov 27, 2007 the tide turned. From 1994 to
11/2007 the city was ahead. From 11/2007 until eternity they lose!!!
and lose big!

The building is not unlucky, it is blessed!

[AsburyPark] Long Branch Eminent Domain

2008-08-20 Thread Kevin Brown
Many you most likely know that I was evicted by Judge Lawson last
Friday from my apartment in 162 Broadway.

Our appeal is working it's way through the court. It took us all by
surprise, because the blight report done for MTOTSA was also done on
Broadway. Our attorney is confident that it will fail as well.

I am looking for temporary residential housing. I have three english
mastiffs, so it is not going to be easy. I need to stay in the area
until the final determination is made by the higher court.

If anyone knows of a place I and my canine family can rent please let
me know.

thanks

That's easy enough to answer. God gave all authority over to Adam,
the man, who was tricked by the woman, who was tricked by the snake.

So God gave it to a man - who lost it! The world now is in the
auspices of "The evil one."

Yet, be of good cheer, because a savior has been born on earth, and
anew, into the hearts of those who believe.

This is a simple answer, I didn't really feel the need to get so
complex.

Now for the practical:

My prayer to God, and wish for all men and women of New Jersey this
Christmas Season is simple.

That our taxes drop 75%
That Our Government shrink 80%
That Abstinance increase 75%
That Health improve 100%

With these 4 things alone it would be a better world.

after all you buy the asset with monies after they have been taxed. To

How about a production company that balances out it's offerrings to
the community. Let's just say, on Sundays wholesome and holy things.
Monday & Tuesday civic minded activities - Wednesday - Evil day.
Thursday, all faiths flea market & Fridays Jewish activities and
Saturdays a marathon of everything starting at Midnight to Midnight.

a little bit of everything.

afterall aren't we suppose to be a nation of equality.

as for your tax revenue concern, the new jersey politicians can't
manage the taxes they get now, everyone should be spared property
tax, let them operate on sales and income taxes and make the state

[AsburyPark] Re: Third Circuit Wrestles With Zoning Laws & City's Desire for Development

2007-11-30 Thread Kevin Brown
Actually Dan you are wrong in this matter.

.1 is for other than the normal liquor license holders, that covers a
seperate category within all classes of liquor lisences.

In any event Long Branch C -1 Commercial Zone violated our
constitutional rights.

I would imagine if the zoning laws violated us and the Federal Court
reserved on the Redevelopment Plan, and now that the senate committee
decided not to carry forward reforms at this time, the NJ Supreme
Court will give us the second part of our victory striking down the
plan of lower Broadway, for it's unconstitutional handling of
assembly for religious purposes. No matter what the liquor
restrictions are, we were there first, and there is no beating down
the city hall doors to open a club or bar or the like in the Katz
area.

Anyway I am opening the store as a social club first thing December
1, 2007.

Pets are welcome.

I will also be broadcasting the electric news from the electric news
room downstairs as well.

Peace Out!

[AsburyPark] Re: Third Circuit Wrestles With Zoning Laws & City's Desire for Development

2007-11-29 Thread Kevin Brown
Easily defussed...

The Lighthouse Board of Trustees & Directors met this morning and
will sanction a Binding Corporate Resolution to "waive" it's rights
to hinder Liquor Licenses in the Broadway Development Zone. Allowing
all the liquor licenses the City desires even right next store to the
church owned building. The Rev. Brown is so confident that he is
planning on opening for church services right before Christmas.

The arguement which pursuaded only 2 of the three circuit court
Judges in the decision, was the Cty's concern, that the power it
would be giving the church to deny liquor licenses was power they did
not constitutionally have.

It was the only reason the Federal court favored the city's economic
development plan over the religious rights of a church, who had it's
religious civil rights violated from 1995 to the present, more than
12 years. The Panel also remanded the matter back to the district
for the sole purposes of determining damages. The church demand for
damages was originally $ 18,777,777.00. A jury trial could be
conviened as early as Spring 2008.

The same panel agreed unanimously, that Long Branch's C - 1 Zone was
illegal and violated the constituion and RLUIPA!

The move on the part of the church board, to profer a "Binding"
corporate resolution to waive their right to object, is provided for
in the State Statute, 33:1-76. The Binding resolution was not a
matter before the Panel, and could turn the entire controversy on
it's merits in favor of the victim's of the Lighthouse Mission, in as
much as the City has already been found guilty of civil rights
violations.

The Binding corporate resolution, shows the church is very supportive
of the economic revitalization of lower Broadway. Interesting foot
note, Rev. Kevin Brown, prior to becomeing a minister, owned and
operated a retail liquor store in Brooklyn, New York. On December
11, 1981 a drunk driver struck and killed his mother on Coney Island
Avenue, Brooklyn. Brown walked away from the store immediately after
her death.

Brown is joined in his eminent domain case by a retail liquor store
owner at 141 Broadway, and a medical doctor, all three desire to
remain in the development zone.

In the meantime the city is forgeing forward to attempt to take using
State eminent domain. Which means Judge Lawson will have a
constituional issue before him on this matter.

For now, The Lighthouse Mission and it's founder, Rev. Kevin Brown,
are pleased that the negetive cloud placed above them by Adam
Schnieder's Council and Administration, as they violated their
religious liberty has been "blown" away by the panel of circuit court
Judges, and he is enjoying clear skies for the first time in over a
decade.

(portion of overall)

God Bless

Kevin

I took my 6 month old Mastiff to Philadelphia for the Purina National
Dog Show, I entered her in the Penn Treaty where she won three
ribbons and in the Greater Philly KC where she one a fourth for Best

Baby Independence of Long Branch is named after the abandoned new

Just my way of keeping her memory alive!

[AsburyPark] Condemnation Complaint - Eminent Domain Case To Heat Up

2007-11-11 Thread Kevin Brown
After 13 years at 162 Broadway and 3 before it at 159 Broadway in
Long Branch, it looks like the final battle between The City and The
Lighthouse Mission will be under way shortly.

"No matter what can be said about Kevin Brown, good, bad or
indifferent, he was always there when someone truly needed
assistance." "One day, the City will realise they lost a true and
faithful activist."

The preacher came to town in the early part of 1990's, setting up an
outreach ministry on the most depressed block in the business
district of town. Encouragement, prayer, soup and meals became his
weapons as he battled against poverty. His success was a thing to
watch, as he rose in notierity and pessistence.

Always the pioneer, he openned the first freelunch program downtown
in 1991 and then purchased an unused 10,000 square foot building in
1994. Between 1992 and 1996 he was a hero to many, then a political
shift took place in the town of 30,000 which was sufferring since the
fire at the pier less than a few short years before his arrival to
the economically troubled town.

Some say, his interest in developing social programs for needy people
who fell between the cracks, was the inspiration to attempt to
redevelop lower Broadway and the beach area. Which at that time was
a nesting ground for down and outters. Some say he was just a
trouble maker.

Either way, he remained faithful to his vision of simply helping and
fighting for the rights of those who had no voice, in a city plagued
with political waring powers.

Some where along the way Brown became caught between the two
political forces and suffered for it. In 1992 the eminent domain
laws were amended which allowed cities to use the power of
condemnation more liberally. The US Supreme Court's ruling on "Kelo
v New London' in part affirmed the heavy handed tactic.

Brown's last 6 years has been supportive of those caught in Eminent
Domain Abuse. Traveling to Trenton with small groups of people to
bring the message to the legislator, he became the pastor of the
condemned. Now he is one of the condemned, but will Reverend "Stone
Cold" Brown come through his own condemnation, or will Long Branch
push him out as well.

The City filed it's complaint to excercise eminent domain in early
October, a negotiation for the forced sale of the mission's building
is scheduled for mid November, 5 full years since the same action
caused Mr. Bruce Mac Cloud to become homeless.

Brown has been quiet these last few weeks, having very little to say
about the final episode of his ministry on the Jersey Shore. Yet as
we spoke to him, there was a little light in the corner of his eye,
and a small smile on his lips, as he simply said; "If God is done
with me here, so be it."

[AsburyPark] The Funding Issue Is The Stronger Issue, anyway

I think the funding issue is the better retribution anyway.

If Asbury Park does not want to take in outside people, it should not
take outside DOLLARS!

I will be in Trenton during the week seeing just how valid an
arguement this may be.

There are 8 million people who are looking for ways to lower taxes.
Funding towns that have not been able to fund themselves while they
have assets like the beachfront to establish is something thatneeds
to change.

Asbury has Stand Up For Asbury & Bruce, you guys should be funding
the 7,983,000 of us.

[AsburyPark] THE PATHOLOGY OF THE VIDEO GAME MARIO THE PLUMBER

2007-10-27 Thread Kevin Brown
This is about the most pathetic bit of logic I ever heard.

Law,my *&^*

The zoning board, cowardly succumb to the private rants of a gay
funded campaign to thwart a bible based social service, because their
view on homosexuality was different then theirs.

The zoning board, knew SUFA was funded and controlled votes in
asbury. The mission was largely out of towners, representing no
voting substance within asbury.

The zoners are appointed political hacks!

To try to make this a treatese on a "legal issue" is the fool in the
parade!

The gay movement in New Jersey is now become the very thing they
cried for help from. Facists, bigots and violent opponents! Be not
surprised or awed or shocked. They are part of the leftist lunacy
that is disrupting peaceful television audiences, college auditoriums
and the like, with unruly shouts about 9/11 and their battle cry
is "Don't tazz me bro."

This is pathetic.

I am advising not to fight to remain in Asbury park for the JSRM.
I have some new thoughts on the matter.

I think Asbury should be left alone to manage their own homeless
problem, I also believe they should be mandated to manage themselves
fiscally as well. No more state, county or federal subsidies. Throw
them off the State bail out and hand out funds list. Let the gangs
move in and control the city.

Also as for the property. I would sell it to a Brooklyn or Queens
Muslim group to bring a Mosque into Asbury Park.

The later will most definitely balance out the former!

[AsburyPark] Just a Reminder of how Asbury Park Handles their Homeless

2007-10-27 Thread Kevin Brown
A middle aged woman homeless and hungry wandered through an unlocked
and open door at city hall there.

To was in a public place sitting on a couch and noticed an uneaten bit
of food, she ate it.

They threw her in jail.

Good going.

[AsburyPark] Re: Would web cams help?

2007-10-22 Thread Kevin Brown
Gather the cost to erect a pole and mount one camera in the park. Get
a few people to offer to donate that cost and see if the city would
jump at the opportunity to test it out there. It would make for a good
private public partnership.

Jack - This is just a suggestion - In addition to makeing it known
what you do not wish to see th eparl used for, why not develop a
series of community benfitting uses for the park. If the park gets a
positive name, the negitives will move away from it.

Maybe some regular uses for pet activities, organized walks, fenced
area for offleash activity, a local mutt show in the evenings. After
work walks, etc etc etc.

[AsburyPark] Re: Four Ballot Questions on Nov. 6th

2007-10-20 Thread Kevin Brown

Democrat Chairman demostrates why the insane word needs to be removed
from the statutes.

Anyone other than a democrat could sue and disqualify all democrats
votes, and allow me to tell you why.

1 - They are asking you to vote yes to approve a tax to reimburse you
of another tax.

2 - They want to borrow 650 Million dollars for non essential
research and more land grabbing, while they are forcasting a 3
Billion dollar defeceit.

If thats not insane, than what is?

The 4 questions on the ballot are the platform of the Democratic
Party for New Jersey.

The sane thing to do is give Independents and Republicans your vote
on November 6, with a democrat as Governor of NJ this is wisest
move. It would balance the last 2 years of Corzine term, and give
him the opportunity to finish the term completing his promises.

I would however emove him from all motocades, strip away his driving
privledges, and give him a free bus & rail pass. This way he will
not injur himself anymore speedy along New Jersey Roads and highways.

Thank you very much

[AsburyPark] Re: Ballot Question #3

2007-10-19 Thread Kevin Brown
You wanna see open space, drive west on route 70 from Lakewood to
route 206. They want to keep these acres free from development at
the cost of increasing urban development. Long Branch and Asbury
will be built out before Newark, Trenton & Jersey City at the rate
development is going. Question three will facilitate this agenda!
Vote No on all questions.

[AsburyPark] VOTE NO ON QUESTION THREE, AND ALL THIS NOVEMBER

2007-10-19 Thread Kevin Brown
TRENTON â€" The coalition pushing voters to approve the state
borrowing $200 million to preserve land in the state said yesterday
that recent ads railing against the ballot question were "deliberate
lies" and "vicious, false attacks."

The Keep it Green Campaign, made up of 90 pro-preservation
organizations, looked to debunk claims made by Bogota Mayor Steve
Lonegan in recent ads and columns saying the program would take
property from homeowners unwillingly, replace single-family home
construction with high density housing and raise taxes.

While the funding would have the state add more debt, Jeff Tittel,
director of the state chapter of the Sierra Club, said local towns
looking to buy land to preserve rely on state money for reimbursement.

"Without the state match, local property taxes would have to go up
higher to buy those pieces of open space those towns want to buy,"
said Tittel.

After learning of the coalition's statements, Lonegan responded, "To
say that it won't raise taxes is an insult to the taxpayers of the
state."

"The state's at a breaking point, we can't afford any of this
nonsense anymore," said Lonegan, who lost a bid for the Republican
nomination for governor in 2005 and now heads the state chapter of
Americans for Prosperity. " . . . When it comes to land use, we have
to let the free market decide and not the government, not the
planners of Trenton."

If approved, the measure provides stopgap funding for one year of
purchases, state fiscal year 2009, which begins next July. It would
provide $109 million for open space, $73 million for farmland
preservation, $12 million to buy flood-prone areas and $6 million for
historic site preservation. The state, which the group says loses 40
acres per day to development, has about $170 million left to last
until then. The Legislature is expected to look for a longer source
of funding in the upcoming lame-duck session.

Within the act it says, "Eminent Domain" will be allowed to condemn
and sieze private property.

Tittel & Pringle did absolutly nothing with their Trenton power to
help the victims of Eminent Domain Abuse get a moratorium.

These guys are paid lobbyists. Lonegan is a mayor.

These guys are democrats, Lonegan is a republican.

Tax payers can not afford any more state spending for pet projects,
especially where eminent domain can be applied in an abusive manner.

Read question three for yourself.

I am not only asking you to vote no on three, but all questions this
November. They are want to bond and spend more money. Some items of
interest are viable, however I would like a new car, a boat and a
better vacation. These things are great to have, but if I can't
afford them, at this time, I have to wait till I can.

The State can not afford any more spending.

see my previous post where I post the paragraph on eminent domain in
this issue.

Hello Jack, nice to meet you. I appreciate you filling in your
profile. Now that you are a real person to me. I apologise to you
that I get defensive, and downright awnry when people like to use the
tactics that were employed against me years ago.

If I personally offended you Jack, I apologise. I too think you
should stay here in this group, because when you are not defending
your buddies, who are in combat with me, I have always appreciated
your issues and your passion.

For a while there it was kosher, but then you solicite a little
sympathy by saying, "Whaaa, I am gonna leave..." then you pick up
your old balliwyck and start inflaming the whole thing all over again.

[AsburyPark] Violation Of Attorney Ethics

2007-10-18 Thread Kevin Brown
Some people post just to irrate others.

Some folks who are Professionally sanctioned by the state have a
whole different level of ethics to follow.

A lawyer, can in no way, assert a negetive claim against an
individual when a grand jury has refused to indict.

The entire matter as it was reported in the press, and other media
venues, 4 years ago, was a consideration in the process. The process
cleared me.

To use any element to subsequently harrass, assail or attack the
credability of the person formerly charged, and subsequently
exonerated is behaviour that all attorney's should refrain from,
under color of the privledge and the knowledge that they supposedly
have.

Now, I am not a thinned skin person. I also understand the JSRM is a
very hot button issue as well the gay community's fight to gain
marriage rights is as well a hot button issue.

I am not expecting, people will automatically embrace the
oppossition. However I do respect that all of us here need to check
our ego's at the door when we pick up the keyboard.

Just know one thing, I am not easily intimidated. I will speak up no
matter who decides to post I wet my bed when I was three.

The style to eliminate the opposition by negetive remarks is immature
and non professional. It should stop. Now let's see who draws first
blood again.

While you weren't indicted for the rape, you don't deny the cops
found lights and camera's pointed at your bed, do you Mr. Freaky.
How dare you condemn anyone else's preferences.

that detail was not in the mario reference, but now that you want to
bring it out, the grand jury laughed at it.

The police had no cameras or lights or anything in evidence, becasue
they didnt find any. That was made up for the press.

Again, establishing just how much damage has been done by that event
is sometimes difficult in a court of law. You are just making it a
lot easier for me to proove the damage.

Matthew 7
Judging Others
1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you
judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it
will be measured to you.
3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and
pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to
your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the
time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the
plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove
the speck from your brother's eye.

6"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs.
If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and
tear you to pieces.

as for your request - I accept it as it too is covered under 6.

There is a big difference in judgeing sin and judgeing sinners. I am
not judgeing sinners, that for God to do. However, I can judge what
is sin and what is not.

There seems to be a lot of interest in my back yard. There is
nothing in my life or back yard that I have not brought to the thrown
room of grace and asked God to forgive. Many things I have even had
deliverance from.

Now if you are calculating the malicious gossip of people - I wouldnt
count on any of it being assessed against me. God knows my entire
life, and everything in it, and I do not make wrong right before
him. No one is judged for sin, they are judged for not admitting it
is sin. That's called grace.

What those people did in their ignorance is not an excuse for any of
us to ignor, God's will. Man is ignorant, the organized church in
the early history has to answer for their error. Even in a municipal
court your defence, based upon - well I didn't listen to the police
officer, becasue a red bank police officer was convicted of police
corruption, will not excuse your ticket.

Nor will you pointing to the error of early church groups, in doing
so, you actually put yourself in a more horrible position with God.
Their wrong will be judged by God, you are trying to judge their
wrong to justify your wrong, as if you were God. won't work!

Repent, and asked God to send you His Holy Spirit.

actually science and medicine confirmed what I already knew.
The sexual act between two men is repulsive, un natural, unhealthy,
and degrading to all men everywhere.

I won't get anymore grafic than that.

Besides, if it was a good sexual act, why is it the most feared event
of terror in a prison!

LOL - pleae, don't get deluded, or confused. Protect
a gay man from secular abuse, but you won't have time to advocate on
their behalf in judgement, we all will be too busy advocating our own

Here is your help:

Unbelief and Its Consequences
18For (AJ)the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who (AK)suppress the truth in
unrighteousness,
 19because (AL)that which is known about God is evident within them;
for God made it evident to them.

20For (AM)since the creation of the world His invisible attributes,
His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, (AN)
being understood through what has been made, so that they are without
excuse.

21For even though they knew God, they did not [c]honor Him as God or
give thanks, but they became (AO)futile in their speculations, and
their foolish heart was darkened.

22(AP)Professing to be wise, they became fools,

23and (AQ)exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image
in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals
and [d]crawling creatures.

24Therefore (AR)God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to
impurity, so that their bodies would be (AS)dishonored among them.

25For they exchanged the truth of God for a (AT)lie, and worshiped
and served the creature rather than the Creator, (AU)who is blessed
forever. Amen.

 26For this reason (AV)God gave them over to (AW)degrading passions;
for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is
unnatural,

27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of
the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, (AX)men with
men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the
due penalty of their error.

28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer,
(AY)God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which
are not proper,

 29being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil;
full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are (AZ)gossips,

30slanderers, (BA)haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful,
inventors of evil, (BB)disobedient to parents,

 31without understanding, untrustworthy, (BC)unloving, unmerciful;

32and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who
practice such things are worthy of (BD)death, they not only do the
same, but also (BE)give hearty approval to those who practice them.

REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR, AND IT IS NOT TRENTON, NJ
All one need do is what Founder Bradley fought so hard for in Asbury

Hello Roger;

Is poulard your real name?

I was thinking about an old SNL show many years ago, where one of the
actors was doing a skit about a famous english cook.

She was preparing the "poulard"

It made me laugh.

Thanks for the laugh.

I find it rather interesting that one would opt to go to a forum where
the opposing view point would not be allowed to participate.
Interesting, but not shocking or surprising. The left has become
facists in their attempt to control the conversation. They ignor the
basic rights of free speech.

Dan is the moderator, I hope to God his italian blood lines don't run
to closely to the facists of yesteryear.

If you disavow the opposition, don't ever complain about the patriot

Dan:

I read it also, I posted it as a file. If it wasn't arbitrary, then
it was capricious and defintely descriminatory. The three pronges
don't necessisarily need to be evident. I expect the high court will
see the pressure of the anti- religious - political group forcing the
zoning board to make such a decision for their political survival,
after all the zoning board members are appointed.

They went through the motions outlined by them from the Aaron, Zaro,
Grimm, Falvo law firm. Each bit of advise, each memo, was built by
lawyers not for justice sake, but for case building purposes and
political ends.

If the decision to close JSRM stands after appeal then all the
religious facilities in town must be shut down! You can not
arbitrarily shut down JSRM and leave open the others, thats
descrimination. To decide no, we only do not want JSRM open, but the
Church of Whatever can remain, then thats arbitrary.

Dan, I respect you, because you do not play dirty like Mario does,
and because you're from Brooklyn. and I am bias in that vain.

The issue, is in the hands of the courts, so enjoy your day.

Kevin

No one bankrupts me. and the actions of the Asbury park zoning board
will be scrutinised by the third district. Remember, the RLUIPA
gives us our legal fees and damages. Why not simply take a look at
older cases like Ephiphany house. This is a repeat of what was
corrected by the DOJ, in the 70's.

Again, I am not here to change your mind, which quite frankly can
never be done. It would have been easier for me to raise the dead
than to change a secular progressives mind. My position is not to
change your mind, but to keep my side of the issue as out there as
others.

Let everyone, not be fooled by name calling and reputation bashing.
Look at the true issues in the arguement and decide for yourself. I
have allowed the leftists to get my goat up at times, but thats
passed now. Now we concentrate on the issue. Fair and Balanced,
presenting information, I'll let the leftists rip it up.

2007-10-18 Thread Kevin Brown
Your missing the point:
First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of
speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to
assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances

additionally, your arguements where also raised in the Marmaroneck
case and failed!! Twice I may add, at the lower court and the
appealate.

Your comparison between a religious entity and a Mac Donald's is the
very violation that RLUIPA rectifies. Religious entities are
protected and are liberated from those restrictions that do not
mandate as necessary for the government.

But you know what, you and your supporters will never change your
minds, nor will those on my side of this issue. So instead of even
attempting to pursuade each other, I ll just let the court prove my
point, as it seems to be doing in all my issues. Eminent Domain,
Religious Land Use, moral respectability and protection of children
from immoral and perverse predators.

When the government is invaded by political power bosses and their
political blocks of voters, the courts are the check and the balance.

Obviously, New Jerseans have given up and are moving out leaving a
great void for the illegals and the immorals to fill.

What makes me relevent in this forum, is the simple fact that the
Founder of The Park was "famous as a foe of liquor traffic, Mr.
Bradley was also was known as a consistent opponent of all manner of
vice." Here in lies my strength - a consitent opponent of vice!

I attended a funeral of a young person this morning. The teen died
from drug abuse. I am friends of the parents. As I stood there
beside my friends, I knew the surviving parents loved the deceased
child. However, the child was still gone, and love could not make
what was life threatening any better. The mourning for that lost
child was harder because of the love.

Many times people stuck in spiritual corruption will die in their
corruption, they were always loved by God no matter what, but they
are still dead in their moral tresspass. Those who are refusing to
accept that spiritual fact just make our grief greater, it does not
make the "wrong" - right!

I'll admit that when in a debate such as the sky is blue, and some
group is supporting, no, it's yellow. I do tend to dismiss the
yellow supporters abruptly. Reason being, is that I know the sky is
blue, all they can do is attempt to manipulate me to ignor the blue.
So when I say, "You need to have your eyes checked." If they want to
get adamant because I said that so be it.

The political philosophy, "agree to dissagree" is no longer
beneficial in today's society. Those who are promoting liberal
attitudes in social ills are destroying the fabric of our lives.

It's time for the conservative majority to act.

Christianity, is not a political issue, it is a religious right.

so be it

[AsburyPark] Read it and weep

BREAKING NEWS: Court Affirms Religious Zoning Law
by James D. Besser
Washington Correspondent

A federal appeals court in New York has upheld a law protecting
religious institutions from undue interference by local zoning
authorities in a case involving an Orthodox day school.

The controversy, which has raged since 2001, involves the Westchester
Day School's plans for a $12 million expansion and complaints by
neighborhood residents that the expansion will worsen the area's
traffic woes.

The three-judge panel, supporting a lower court decision, ruled that
Westchester authorities improperly denied a permit application by
the school.

The case is widely seen as an important test of the 2000 Religious
Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA). That law was
passed in response to complaints by Orthodox groups and other
religious communities that local authorities too often discriminate
against religious schools and houses of worship in zoning rulings.

The law also protects the religious rights of inmates in state and
local prisons.

The village of Mamaroneck has not indicated if it will appeal the
decision. If it does, the stage could be set for the first major
Supreme Court test of the land use provisions of the 2000 law.

Orthodox Jewish groups hailed the ruling.

"This is a very important decision not just for the Orthodox
community, but for religious institutions in the Tri-State area and
around the country," said Nathan Diament, public affairs director for
the Orthodox Union. "We're pleased that the RLUIPA statute, which we
worked so hard to pass, is being interpreted by the courts in the way
we intended."

[AsburyPark] FYI: NJ's LAD Re: Students & Teachers. Also Please Support WPP

2007-10-18 Thread Kevin Brown
well when secular progressive come to power in any government, the
decay occurs.

Frankly that is where the State's problem are. This is why 100,000
people have left the state.

I blame the Independent Conservatives, because they are the ones who
are being silent, not voting and running out of the state.

This prooves my point.

[AsburyPark] The Hypocricy Of Asbury Position On The Homeless

2007-10-18 Thread Kevin Brown
It has been stated time and time again, that Asbury park's problem is
not because they are a religious group believing homosexuality is a
sin of moral decay, but that Asbury Park does enough already for
thier homeless. They also argue that homeless people from outside
the imediate asbury park area are flooding into asbury park. This
isolationist defence is flawed.

They take financial assistance from the State of New Jersey. Trenton
gives them mucho bucks. When you get State aid, which is the taxes
of everyone in New Jersey, then you must be a team player.

Their arguement is soiled by their lusts for immoral behaviour.
Everyone knows that the gay community took the opportunity to go to
Asbury Park because of it's run down condition. They bought in
cheap, and they convinced others to come and build a gay utopia. In
and of itself, a safe haven for people is a good idea. Even though I
disagree with the lifestyle, I agree anyone in New Jersey has the
right to live as they see fit. The Kingdom of Heaven is not located
in Trenton, NJ.

However, now that a large political force is assembled in Asbury Park
they are flexing their bias against other institutional communities
such as "right wing" religious fanatics. This is to be expected,
afterall it is the Left Wing Loonies who have collected together
under the Gay Banner.

The Jersey Shore Rescue Mission, and other, same sex relationships
are immoral and against the religious teachings & preaching, groups
will not be welcomed in Asbury Park, no matter what service they wish
to perform.

The Asbury Gay community has become they very thing they were
victimed by, intolerant and militant hate mongers. Those that use to
be sympathizers to their plight are now conspirators in their hate
mongering.

Don't miss the obvious. Asbury Park is part of New Jersey, and if
takes like a sponge financial assistance from the rest of the tax
payers in the state, at a very high rate. If they want to shun, the
homeless neighbors from outside their borders, let them refund the
state aid they enjoy from our taxes.

Cheers, I know I am new in this chitty chitty chat room. So I'll keep
it civil. My heart goes out to you - when I go to a pub for a soup
and a smits, I expect to have me soup and me smits. There is nothing
worse than not getting what you yearn for. Especially after a hard
day's work.

Not knowing many of you here, it seems to me, this Mario blout should
have not brought up the dead story long buried.

The Reverend lost his cool, however, I like a passionate priest. In
Ireland Mario would have gotten a holy fist over the matter, but
that's Ireland.

I did note one interesting development. Someone prayed, I guess the
Lord moved somewhat.

Now to the Lord, please God fix my boat quickly, the smithwick's here
is expensive and these folks are fighting with each other over you.

The original is; "Stand thee behind me satan."
I thought I would be nice and drop the satan, you took a biblical
remark and turned it into a seedy thought.

You have confirmed, just how important it is for me to "Preach Christ
and His teachings to this forum."

Perverse and immoral behaviour has been tolerated for too long. I
talking spiritually, and the weapons of my warfare are not carnal,
but mighty to the pulling down of strongholds.

With all the controversy I have been in in the last 20 years, I might
as well be in the midst of controversy for Christ's message of love
and repentance and changeing the way we live our lives here and now.

I have chosen to forgive mario for broadcasting an event that
occurred close to 4 years ago, that had no foundation in truth to
begin with. Just to harass me and undermine my credibility today.

God see all, and knows all. God will not be mocked what a man sows
so shall he reap.

Good night hinge.

Good night Asbury, tomorrow we begin a new day and hope is on the way.

Praise The Lord...

[AsburyPark] Christianity and the American Commonwealth

2007-10-17 Thread Kevin Brown
Christianity and the American Commonwealth

By Charles B. Galloway, D.D., LL.D.

--
--

Originally published in 1898, "Christianity and the American
Commonwealth" is one of the best summaries of the impact of
Christianity on America.

Galloway leaves no historical fact unturned in his demonstration that
America was founded as a Christian nation. Furthermore, he proves
that without the Gospel and the application of all of God's Word to
all of life, civilizations turn despotic and crumble.

In a day when Christian leaders call for the abandonment of politics,
Galloway's book is a breath of fresh air. In many ways this book was
prophetic. He saw what would happen if America rejected her Biblical
foundations or if Christians retreated from their engagement in
society.

Although written more than 100 years ago, Galloway's arguments are
persuasively modern and must be heeded by today's church. There's no
doubt that the ACLU will be terrified when this book gets back into
circulation! Over one hundred images have been added in this newly
republished version.

Hardcover, 192 pages.

As a very special added bonus, when you purchase "Christianity and
the American Commonwealth" from WorldNetDaily's online store, you can
also receive – FREE – three issues of Whistleblower magazine, which
many have called the best news magazine in the world. That's a $22.50
free value! (Offer good in the U.S. only.) Watch for the free offer

I agree wth much of what you said Dan. I also think homosexuality is
wrong. It's immoral! So as the gay and lesbian community started
attacking communion in a san francisco catholic church, and in New
Jersey attacking Ocean Grove. I just decided to make a stand for
basic christian family values.

I will never bash or sympathise with violence against any sinners. I
will love the sinner, but I am not gonna just agree for the sake of
lull

The day of atonement is at hand. Judgement is upon us all, even me.

Wrong, I don't think a gay teacher will produce gay students. What
actually discredits Mario from teaching students is that he likes to
remind people of what happenned in their lives years ago, when in
fact they did nothing wrong. A teacher, is suppose to be supportive
of children, especially when many of those in our schools may have
fallen into a bad crowd or have been manipulated by gangs on the
streets.

Mario's behaviour need be above all's reproach. If the way he
handles adults is suspect, what would make any of us think he deals
with similar circumstances with the children. If a student had a
problem that he or she was cleared of, and it was years later, should
mario be allowed to re victimise the student by throwing it into his
or her face just because Mario is promoting his issue of the day.

I don't think children need to be exposed to such irratic and
demeaning behaviour from teacher.

He already, admitted he knew many teen agers sufferring from
depression and who'se to say, if his volatile remarks wouldn't
trigger a harmful episode in a school.

I just couldn't stand by and let someone who likes to bash innocent
people and harrass them about them being arrested, in a threatening
manner as if he was going to tell everyone, like Mario actually did!!!

Could you imagine him turning on a school child this way?

My concerns are well founded, and I am not the only one who is
concerned.

A teacher of young children needs to be able to display control from
malicious attacks unfounded and for no purpose.

Besides sexual pervertion is moral failure. You want your children
being tought by morally failing people?

Sick, you better be sick of this issue, cause it is sickening.

I hope he changes his ways and apologises for his lack of control.

[AsburyPark] Violation Of The Holy Sacrement

2007-10-17 Thread Kevin Brown
See who's receiving Communion in San Francisco
'I doubt even Judas would have done such a perverse thing'

--
--

A Catholic parish in San Francisco has been classified alongside
graphic San Francisco sex-fest sponsor Miller Brewing after officials
served Communion to members of the ultra anti-Catholic "Sisters of
Perpetual Indulgence," whose mockery of Christianity is legend in the
city.

The service was captured on video by a member of the Catholic group
St. Joseph's Men Society, and it has been made available Catholic
blogsite Quamdiu Domine.

Two "sisters" at Holy Redeemer church in San Franscico

"I doubt that even Judas would have done such a perverse thing as
this," said Anthony Gonzales, president of the men's
organization. "Not only did [Archbishop George] Niederauer sell out
our Lord for human respect but deliberately crucified Him again
within the very sanctuary of the church that he was consecrated to
protect. If Rome does not remove him immediately from his position
and excommunicate him for this evil, then Rome itself becomes
complicit in the crime. Enough is enough!"

The archbishop, in an diocese newspaper editorial scheduled for
publication next week, apologizes for serving the two "Sisters,"
explaining he didn't recognize who they were.

'Sisters' receiving Communion

He described the Oct. 7 event has routine. "The congregation was
devout and the liturgy was celebrated with reverence. I noticed no
demonstration, no protest, no disruption of the Eucharist," he writes
for the coming explanation.

"At Communion time, toward the end of the line, two strangely dressed
persons came to receive Communion. As I recall one of them wore a
large flowered hat or garland. I did not recognize either of them as
wearing mock religious garb," he said.

"Afterward it was made clear to me that these two people were members
of the organization 'Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,' who have long
made a practice of mocking the Catholic Church in general and
religious women in particular," he said.

"Although I had often seen photographs of members of the Sisters of
Perpetual Indulgence, I had never encountered them in person until
October 7th. I did not recognize who these people were when they
approached me. After the event, I realized that they were members of
this particular organization and that giving them Holy Communion had
been a mistake. I apologize to the Catholics of the Archdiocese of
San Francisco and to Catholics at large for doing so," he said.

"The manner of dress and public comportment of the Sisters of
Perpetual Indulgence is deeply offensive to women religious and to
the witness of holiness and Christian service that women religious
have offered to the Church and to the world for centuries. The
citizens of San Francisco have ample reason to be grateful to women
religious for their unfailing support of those most in need, and to
be deeply offended when that service is belittled so outrageously and
offensively.

"Someone who dresses in a mock religious habit to attend Mass does so
to make a point. If people dress in a manner clearly intended to mock
what we hold sacred, they place themselves in an objective situation
in which it is not appropriate for them to receive Holy Communion,
much less for a minister of the Church to give the Sacrament to them.

"Therefore I conclude that the presence of the Sisters of Perpetual
Indulgence at the Mass on October 7th was intended as a provocative
gesture. In that moment I failed to recognize it as such, and for
that, as I have said, I must apologize," he writes.

The service was held just days after downtown San Francisco was
flooded with open nudity, public acts of sex and other activities
related to the Folsom Street homosexual sex fair.

Catholics earlier reacted to the event itself by calling for a
boycott of the Miller Brewing Co. after the beer giant failed to have
its logo removed from a "gay"-festival promo mocking the iconic Last
Supper scene of Jesus Christ and his disciples.

Now a number of groups, including Americans for Truth about
Homosexuality, have been publicizing the stunt.

(Story continues below)

"Just when you thought it couldn't get any wackier: on Sunday, just a
week after the depraved, nudity-filled 'Folsom Street Fair' in San
Francisco, the city's Archbishop, George Niederauer, has been
photographed giving Communion to two Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
in their mock 'nun' outfits," said a statement from AFTAH.

AFTAH chief Peter LaBarbera explained that the "Sisters" are men who
dress up in outlandish outfits and white make-up to mock Catholic
nuns. They adopt sexualized names including "Sister Porn Again" and
their motto is "Go forth and sin some more."

LaBarbera reported at this year's event one, "novice" was "Sister
Bambi Dextrous" who wore a T-shirt with the slogan "Bot

I agree, asbury park needs to be rebuilt, much like the ancient cities

That will be my contribution. Providing biblical accounts of
rebuilding cities, that once had glory and lost it, now trying to
rebuild it.

Greetings:

The wrods of this post are not mine, they are Sue Bohlin's and they
are based on scripture. I love sinners, I love for God first loved
me, and yet while I was lost in my sin his love sent his son to die
for me. Yet while I was ungodly, Christ shed his own blood to save
me and all who believe.

But as a father of three children, I love and I don't just look at
them every day, in love. I teach them, I nuture them, I do many more
things than just sit back and smile a lovely smile at them.

That's the problem with society today, and why gangs are growing and
politicians are corrupt. People like Mario, Asbury Couple, fight
with those that promote God's word and His teachings. I love these
people so much, that I decided to dedicate some time every day
to "bring Christ to them."

God love you brother.

Kevin Brown.

Sin is not final, God's love washes away all sin.
Even my own.
The issue should not be sin, but righteousness.

Nehemiah 1
Nehemiah's Grief for the Exiles
1The words of (A)Nehemiah the son of Hacaliah Now it happened in (B)
the month Chislev, (C)in the twentieth year, while I was in (D)Susa
the [a]capitol,
 2that (E)Hanani, one of my brothers, and some men from Judah came;
and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped and had survived
the captivity, and about Jerusalem.

3They said to me, "The remnant there in the (F)province who survived
the captivity are in great distress and (G)reproach, and (H)the wall
of Jerusalem is broken down and (I)its gates are burned with fire."

4When I heard these words, (J)I sat down and wept and mourned for
days; and I was fasting and praying before (K)the God of heaven.

5I said, "I beseech You, O LORD God of heaven, (L)the great and
awesome God, (M)who preserves the covenant and lovingkindness for
those who love Him and keep His commandments,

6(N)let Your ear now be attentive and Your eyes open to hear the
prayer of Your servant which I am praying before You now, day and
night, on behalf of the sons of Israel Your servants, (O)confessing
the sins of the sons of Israel which we have sinned against You; (P)I
and my father's house have sinned.

7"(Q)We have acted very corruptly against You and have not kept the
commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances (R)which You
commanded Your servant Moses.

8"Remember the word which You commanded Your servant Moses,
saying, '(S)If you are unfaithful I will scatter you among the
peoples;

9(T)but if you return to Me and keep My commandments and do them,
though those of you who have been scattered were in the most remote
part of the heavens, I (U)will gather them from there and will bring
them (V)to the place where I have chosen to cause My name to dwell.'

10"(W)They are Your servants and Your people whom You redeemed by
Your great power and by Your strong hand.

11"O Lord, I beseech You, (X)may Your ear be attentive to the prayer
of Your servant and the prayer of Your servants who delight to revere
Your name, and make Your servant successful today and grant him
compassion before this man " Now I was the (Y)cupbearer to the king.

well I have been persecuted by you all so I may as well preach at you.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for
theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

so now you are saying God can not communicate to man through man.
there is absolutely no canon, or theology to support your position.

But I don't need scripture to tell me homosexuality is wrong.

[AsburyPark] Asbury Park zoners vote against christianity and for homosexuality

2007-10-17 Thread Kevin Brown

God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged
natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also
abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for
one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received
in themselves the due penalty for their perversion (Rom 1:26-27).

So even though homosexual desires feel natural, they are actually
unnatural, because God says they are. He also calls all sexual
involvement outside of marriage immoral. (There are 44 references to
fornication--sexual immorality--in the Bible.) Therefore, any form of
homosexual activity, whether a one-night stand or a long-term
monogamous relationship, is by definition immoral--just as any abuse of
heterosexuality outside of marriage is immoral.

[AsburyPark] Re: Religious Liberty and Limits of morality

2007-10-17 Thread Kevin Brown
Homosexuality: Questions and Answers
Sue Bohlin

--
--

Q. Some people say homosexuality is natural and moral; others say it
is unnatural and immoral. How do we know?

A. Our standard can only be what God says. In Romans 1 we read,

God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged
natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also
abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust
for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and
received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion (Rom 1:26-
27).
So even though homosexual desires feel natural, they are actually
unnatural, because God says they are. He also calls all sexual
involvement outside of marriage immoral. (There are 44 references to
fornication--sexual immorality--in the Bible.) Therefore, any form of
homosexual activity, whether a one-night stand or a long-term
monogamous relationship, is by definition immoral--just as any abuse
of heterosexuality outside of marriage is immoral.

Q. Is homosexuality an orientation God intended for some people, or
is it a perversion of normal sexuality?

A. If God had intended homosexuality to be a viable sexual
alternative for some people, He would not have condemned it as an
abomination. It is never mentioned in Scripture in anything but
negative terms, and nowhere does the Bible even hint at approving or
giving instruction for homosexual relationships. Some theologians
have argued that David and Jonathan's relationship was a homosexual
one, but this claim has no basis in Scripture. David and Jonathan's
deep friendship was not sexual; it was one of godly emotional
intimacy that truly glorified the Lord.

Homosexuality is a manifestation of the sin nature that all people
share. At the fall of man (Gen 3), God's perfect creation was
spoiled, and the taint of sin affected us physically, emotionally,
intellectually, spiritually--and sexually. Homosexuality is a
perversion of heterosexuality, which is God's plan for His creation.
The Lord Jesus said,

In the beginning the Creator made them male and female. For this
reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his
wife, and the two will become one flesh (Matt 19:4, 5).
Homosexual activity and pre-marital or extra-marital heterosexual
activity are all sinful attempts to find sexual and emotional
expression in ways God never intended. God's desire for the person
caught in the trap of homosexuality is the same as for every other
person caught in the trap of the sin nature; that we submit every
area of our lives to Him and be transformed from the inside out by
the renewing of our minds and the purifying of our hearts.

Q. What causes a homosexual orientation?

A. This is a complex issue, and it is unfair to give simplistic
answers or explanations. Some people start out as heterosexuals, but
they rebel against God with such passionate self-indulgence that they
end up embracing the gay lifestyle as another form of sexual
expression. As one entertainer put it, "I'm not going to go through
life with one arm tied behind my back!"

But the majority of gays sense they are "different" from very early
in life, and at some point they are encouraged to identify this
difference as being gay. These people may be the victims of "pre-
conditions" that dispose them toward homosexuality. One such pre-
condition may be a genetic predisposition for homosexuality. There is
a huge difference, however, between a genetic predisposition that
affects gender identity, and the choices we make in how we handle a
predisposition. Although their work is far from conclusive,
researchers such as Simon LeVay, Michael Bailey, and Richard Pillard
have argued that homosexual tendencies may be indicated even before
birth. But they will not go so far as to say that homosexual behavior
is determined. Another pre-condition for some people is the presence
of childhood or adolescent abuse, either emotional or sexual. It is
very difficult to find a homosexual who did not experience the trauma
of intense rejection, the horror of being molested, or the shock of
an early sexual experience.

Q. Wouldn't the presence of pre-conditions let homosexuals "off the
hook," so to speak?

A. Preconditions make it easier to sin in a particular area. They do
not excuse the sin. We can draw a parallel with alcoholism.
Alcoholics often experience a genetic or environmental pre-condition,
which makes it easier for them to fall into the sin of drunkenness.
Is it a sin to want a drink? No. It's a sin to drink to excess.

All of us experience various predispositions that make it easier for
us to fall into certain sins. For example, highly intelligent people
find it easier to fall into the sin of intellectual pride. People who
were physically abused as children may fall into the sins of
