Tom, you pay for it. Donate your comp contract to get him a better
set of wheels. Bloomberg rides the subway to work everyday in NYC.
You want class? Reidy could drive a Maybach and we'd still be the
laughing stock. How about classy government? How about classy
redevelopment? How about pay for performance?

I like this thread. I thought that my saying Reidy should not even
have a city-paid car would catch me fire. Glad to see there are
other cost conscious citizens here. This reminds me of a recent
Council meeting when I and Keady were demanding all sorts of
documentation about adoption of the WRP. Bruno shouted out that we
would have to pay for it. I shouted back that I, and other citizens,
already pay for everything, including his and other council members'
health insurance. I suspect their health insurance costs are more
than their stipends. There have been nominal ratable ncreases from
the WRP per se. Most of the new ratables are from private developers
and owners. They keep raising the budget and borrowing. Keady is on
the right track asking for job descriptions. There is probably a lot
of dead wood to cut in city hall.

you have people living below the poverty line. Maybe we should give them even
more.

Tommy's dream house in Colts Neck complete with cars, pool, schooling and maid
service
and a job.

They'll have the opportunity to impress others.

They get to skip the taxi ride or half-ass local public transporation system.

M faher told me as well, a expert charges what the attorney charges in court
testimony.

Give me an attorney hat will only charge me $100 for canned letter vs one that
charges me
$450.

Yeah. The city got screwed over on the Oceanfront because he drove a
Jeep. That's it.

Why stop at a Cadillac? Give him a Hummer. Give him a city-paid
entourage too, who can roll out a carpet for him so his royal feet
don't have to touch the ground.

Just don't cry poverty & claim you need County/State/Federal help
balancing the budget.

Oh well there's the class I was talking about. Good grief.

Look, the guy is the main business face of Asbury Park. He shows up
to a meeting in a jalopy, someone will figure they have him right
where they want him from the start.

I don't mean to be shallow but the poeple you deal with in life can
be shallow and you can't ignore them. Some people in business will
judge a man just on what kind of shoes he's wearing. I've heard of
jurors ignoring all the evidence and deciding a case on which lawyer
has the better suit on.

Nobody wants a cheap doctor, a $2.00 lawyer, and I don't want my
buisiness representative in an old car. It looks cheap and doesn't
bespeak success. Not my rules - society's rules.

Let's show some class here. Pur Terry in a Cadillac whether he
likes it or not.

Thanks JJ, for seeing it so simple.

Given his salary, his fringes (I think maureen once posted it), you are right.

What really has to happen, is that the taxpayers of AP just have to wake up..

One of these years, the state will stop printing money for AP.

The BOE and town are run as if they have Enron/Tyco funds.

Wake up shareholders.

How about the city pays him enough for him to drive any freaking car
he feels is in his budget???

What car is the Mayor of Howell provided? What car is the Mayor of
Ocean provided

Why is the city of Asbury Park in the Auto business anyway

F him & his city provided car. If he wants to know the people of
Asbury he should walk home from City Hall every day.
