"How about AP HotWinter, HotSand (run some radiant heat in the sand on the beach and some big blowers)" (see much earlier thread about their logo) Iceland is great. Been there twice. I ate the most vile thing ever when I was there. Basically, it was little cubes of rotted shark meat. It's a delicacy for them, absolute horror for most of us. Yahoo! Outdoor hockey games or a tournament between local high school or youth teams would be pretty cool too. Yahoo! Fantastic idea! Maybe even take it a wee bit further and do the winter carnival kinda thing with the big ice sculptures. Build an ice bar for the adults. --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, "dfsavgny" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, "oakdorf" wrote: > > > > YOu could always just put a rink IN CH or the Casino for the "winter > > season" > > > > It's hard to get ice time around here. > > > > We talked about that but I assume there are other plans for that. Very good idea dan. Pier Village had a small ice rink last winter from the Atlanticville last 2 years: http://atlanticville.gmnews.com/news/2005/1222/Front_Page/023.html Pier V part 2 has also broken ground - 216 more condos, 24 unit condo/tel and about 4k more retail. Expected to be done end of 2008. Retail is already leased from what I hear. An outdoor market is a great idea, especial;y if MM is running it for a % of the rent that the CITY would get. Midnight Ice Hockey and a $100,000 new years eve "slap shot" tournament. YOu could always just put a rink IN CH or the Casino for the "winter season" It's hard to get ice time around here. Yahoo!
