Maureen - Wow, that's a long story! I just read the article on your site about why your're not on the air. Hope to hear you on again soon. I use to like hearing about development storys, and what people thought about them. You should try getting the comment section up and running. You'd get a lot of talk and conversation going (even if its not on-air). - Get the free Yahoo! toolbar and rest assured with the added security of spyware protection.

Apoojoo - See Asbury Radio site for the quotes from the prosecutor's press release for the charge. It was also reported in the APP, as well as I believe The Coaster. [AsburyPark] Re: Ned Brown Indicted Again - Wanted to help the poor buy houses...yeah...
Mr. Serpico, is a fine, reputable guy, as well as attorney! AP, gets its' money's worth, when they hired him! A decent, honorable son, of Asbury Park! Indeed, Mr. Serpico, taught me and gave good sound advice, on how to change, or grant beneficial use, in many requests, on the zoning board! I believe as he always did, (his homework), on this Ned, person. Too bad, he didn't heed him, when he repeatedly asked, whether there was any conflict. once said, that I couldn't vote on an issue, because of my faith, forgetting the board was predominantly Catholic and that religion, had no bearing on the ruling. Wasn't anything monumental, except a change in use, of a said property. When it comes to faith-based activities of any group, I would have voted yes, because religion, is the one thing that grounds, me. Not so for some or those who have no faith; it's just what it is! I've also learned that it's okay, to NOT have any faith, for whatever reason or, none! Our board meetings were only attended by those petitioning. There were no huge crowds and I almost thought, that it was a "non-important", board! It is, since the redevelopment, finally took off! --- In AsburyPark@yahoogroups.com, "radio881gal" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Eileen - > I agree. Eileen - I agree. The board attorney, Serpico, also told me years ago in WYGG's studio that he repeatedly asked Brown if he had any affiliations with RDR. Serpico said each time he asked Brown denied any involvement, which left Serpico in a bind, according to him. He had no proof to dispute Brown's claim. I believe I asked him about the ethics report at that time, but I think Serpico said then that he hadn't seen Brown's report. That was probably because Brown hadn't filled it out yet. I hope the boards are more diligent now about collecting those forms prior to a new member's first meeting. I can only echo, this response! Some people think they are above the law and that the law, doesn't apply to them! Those who have felt they have no obligation, to the public, think again! So he thought, no one is going to say or DO anything, huh? Read where he cane on board, after me! You know, I have no idea who he is! I thought Mr. Parreott, replaced me. Maureen: Don't know Ned Brown. Who appointed him to the board of adjustment and for how long? Strange, he didn't abstain on that vote...clear conflict of interest! Seems the attorney, (if he knew), would've advised him. A big "if"!
