...and I saw some 1950s/60s auto prototypes at a car show recently that are worth millions that were supposed to be destroyed back then originally. garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94855 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

I still have my original APPLE II (the original one with the ][ for the II). Still works last I tried a couple of years ago. I actually have the body of the thing hanging on my office wall as a piece of art. And I'm fond of itI wrote my master's thesis, my PhD dissertation, and my first published article on that machine! garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94855 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

Also granted; and a prototype is never meant to actually be used by anybody. Some insist on destroying them (all sorts of reasons), and unfortunately from some other companies they become Version 1. :) I just used the word "prototype" in the general sense of an unfinished product during development. SBGK has said before he does this stuff for his own enjoyment etc., so I didn't mean to infer he was developing a product (AFAIK). cfraser's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=48869 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=94855 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles

Very poor, I suppose that level of 'service' is OK when you're churning out mice and and keyboards. At least with the real hi-fi suppliers like Linn, McIntosh, Naim etc. you're not left high and dry. amcluesent's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10286 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95537 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/audiophiles
