My wife really did get what I was on about when I was researching the
Squeezebox (you know, ripping music to FLAC, tagging it all, playing
with SlimServer etc).  Just looked to the ceiling, and said "boys
toys..".

When I finally got the squeezebox and got it all working, she was
converted.  Revolutionised our music listening.

I use dbpoweramp to rip my CDs to FLAC.  The advantage over EAC that I
see is that its much easier to get to grips with - has a ice UI.  I
used EAC for a while, and gave up trying to configure it (I get bored
easily!).  While I don't doubt that EAC is the top dog for ripping, I
believe dbpoweramp does just as good a job.  It also integrates with
AccurateRip and freedb.
