[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Re: Question about Spouses?
My wife really did get what I was on about when I was researching the Squeezebox (you know, ripping music to FLAC, tagging it all, playing with SlimServer etc). Just looked to the ceiling, and said "boys toys..". When I finally got the squeezebox and got it all working, she was converted. Revolutionised our music listening. -- chris.mason chris.mason's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3323 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30541 ___ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Re: Dist-ed FLACs. Whatta do?
I use dbpoweramp to rip my CDs to FLAC. The advantage over EAC that I see is that its much easier to get to grips with - has a ice UI. I used EAC for a while, and gave up trying to configure it (I get bored easily!). While I don't doubt that EAC is the top dog for ripping, I believe dbpoweramp does just as good a job. It also integrates with AccurateRip and freedb.
