I don't see where turn off the remote. Is this on the transporter menu?

These are some good suggestions. I think I will start with disabling
the remote and just control it with my ipad. I don't think anyone else
is using the squeeze network.

[SlimDevices: Audiophiles] Transporter Issue

2012-02-04 Thread dminches

Recently I have noticed that my Transporter is intermittently skipping
to the next track while in the middle of the current track. It seems
to be a bit random and I can't say it always happens on the same
track.

Regarding my setup, I am running SC 7.6.2 on a wired ethernet network.
I also have a touch and I don't think I am experiencing the issue on the
touch. However, the touch is in another room and thus doesn't have the
same network path to the server.

I understand that. It is still available so I would therefore not think
that the transporter line is dead.

Is the Transporter line dead now that there is a Transporter SE
available? I thought the SE was new? No?

I should be able to get to "My Music" on squeezeplay, correct? I can
get to the radio stations but not my music. Is there an FAQ somewhere
so I can try to diagnose this on my own? I did register it in mysb.com.
One simple question, should it be disconnected from mysb.com so I can
use it with squeezeserver?

Re: [SlimDevices: Audiophiles] listening to HD Audio (24/96)

I guess I'll have to consider using a lower compression level. I don't
recall hearing issues but now that I know there is a potential problem
I'll be on the lookout for it.

Since we are on the subject of 24/96, I thought I read in a post by
Sean Adams that SB3s will use everyone other sample to go from 24/96 to
24/48 (obviously not a very good algorithm). Is this old information
now that newer version of squeezeserver have been released?

Can you define "highly compressed?" Do you mean FLAC level 8? I
haven't had an issue playing them on my transporter unless something is
going on that I don't know about.

I am still running SS 6.5.4 due to the lack of SHN support in SC.
That's why I was hoping to find an add-in that I can drop in

When you say "three weeks later" was the unit "playing" that entire
time, breaking in the new hardware, or was it only on when you were
